I haven't posed for a while, and I've had several requests for a new feeding video--so here you go!
I tried to record the audio with my Apple AirPods, which I thought may pick up my talking better since they are at a fixed location from my mouth. Unfortunately that wasn't the case and and my talking isn't very audible, so I apologize for that.
In the video I'm feeding Hereford and Angus beef cattle with a 1960 John Deere 630. With me is my trusty German Shepherd and his Poodle girlfriend.
The bales were loaded with a John Deere 3020 with a Farmhand loader.

This video is a followup video from my previous post where I compared the John Deere Number 38 Sickle Mower against the John Deere Number 5 Sickle Mower. At the time the 38 was not functioning and needed a lot of work. I've since made it field ready, so I wanted to do a video showing the progress.
The mower is mounted on a 1951 John Deere Model A two-cylinder tractor.
Last week we had sever heavy rainstorms, which has made the mornings foggy. This video was taken on a foggy morning, which burned off shortly afterwords.
I have some grain hay that I'd like to cut with the Model A tractors and sickle mowers. I hope the weather holds and can dry out enough that I'm able to do that before it gets too late in the year. Winter comes awfully fast in the valley...

I took a nice little stroll to the beef cows that are currently on the dry farm on the 1939 John Deere Model A. I've been working on the tractor most of the winter, so I thought it would be a good opportunity to warm the motor up a bit and let it stretch its legs. It was so pretty that I decided to film it. Since I'm just holding my camera, it's a little bumpy. The video shows the beautiful west hills in Freedom, Wyoming (which is actually in Idaho) on the Robert Weber farm.

Nothing like riding with some fresh powder!
I'm not a fan of music in videos (I'd rather hear the machines), but the wind was blowing so bad I had to use it as an overlay.

It's been a while since I've posted a video, so I thought that raking the grain hay (mixture of oats, peas, and beardless barley) would be a fun opportunity/excuse to get one of the old tractors out and shoot some footage.
The B (in its day) was a great haying tractor. I know the B spent many hours pulling various styles of hay rakes. However, with our modern equipment, we use different styles & larger rakes. So, I only used this for enough of the field to get some good footage. With our modern swather (windrower), we cut the rows really wide to increase drying time. This makes it harder to stratal the row, and also makes it so the tractor has to drive on it. If we had the rows not so wide, the tractor could go across it all better and also combine them into one row also, which is better for our large square baler (they take in a large amount of hay to be able to make a properly formed bale).
Anyway, the tractor used here in a 1949 John Deere BW all-fuel. Although they made a good amount of BW machines, the majority of those in the late-style design were gasoline only configurations. This tractor is the all-fuel engine, meaning it could be started on gasoline, then switched over to burning most common cheaper fuels at the time (hence the name all-fuel).

Cold start of a John Deere 4640. Of note, however, the tractor was plugged in with a block heater, but not started previously.
