Here is the “Guilty Pleasure” of mine. This elevator lacks some character and just looks like a boring old elevator, but despite that I love riding this thing a lot. The old school design of the cab, the unique buttons and nice floor indicator, the most satisfying motor I’ve ever heard, the list goes on and on. I also show the outside to show how the Call Panels work (though on the 2nd floor). A few gripes I have with this is that the door take FOREVER to close (keep in mind no close door button) and the leveling could be a bit better IMO. Overall an awesome elevator that I can’t get enough of!
FUN FACT: The building this elevator is in was built in 1900! Other extensions (likely the part with the 1946 Westbrook) were added on years later to this shopping/office building.

Here are two cabs I had to wait on filming. I found these in August and didn't have time to film them until Mid October.
As far as I'm aware, these are the only elevators on the property. But overall, these are some pretty simple VR 330L?️mes from 2012. The creaking noises aren't too pleasant, but it doesn't affect the ride quality.

Turns out this was a 1991 Otis Series 1 at one point and was modded in the Early 2010’s with Series M2 fixtures. Yay, another pointless mod. You can still hear the soul of the Series 1 as it still has its chime attached.
As for the lift itself, it’s a POS. Not really just the pointless mod, this is slower than molasses. Going down from the top floor for example, it took 28 to 29 SECONDS to reach the 1st Floor. Even going up one floor it took about 12 to 13 seconds. Easily the slowest elevator I’ve ever ridden. The machinery needs upgrading badly. This is my least favorite elevator of the entire mall and I have no plans to ride it again.

This is very similar to the other Otis shown previously, but it’s a newer install and is much taller. Floor 4 is locked off probably because parking up there is closed. Like with the other Otis, this is not too bad of an elevator! Similar to the last one, this might be a Gen2 but I ain't 100% sure.

I honestly don't know what this was prior, I'd say probably Dover.
It received a Schindler HXPress Mod, but strangely the controller used here isn't really typical for a Schindler Hydro.
This mod is really annoying because it uses over 1000 MAD Chimes, has the Fake Ass MAD Voice, and never shuts up. Even then, this mod is just mediocre. I will say the 3 Ding Chime (which is I'm assuming is used for Floor Arrival) is a guilty pleasure of mine. The Indicator Glitch at the end though...

This building also houses The Caldwell County Public Library on the top floor!
When I saw this building had a United States elevator, I had to come see this myself. I was expecting a Circle Button given this was put in around 1989 (the elevator isn't original to the 1970's building), but I got a surprise instead, a SUPER EARLY SOFT TOUCH! Now you know Soft Touch has been around since at least 1989, and not 1992/1993 like most people thought, including myself!
This cab has the Late 1980's/Early 1990's style Soft Touch Cab, with some interesting set ups. Like for one, the Arrow Lantern commonly seen on Circle/Square Button US Installs with the US Mechanical Bell. Another feature is the Analog Soft Touch Indicator, which is in pristine shape compared to others on YT! The Door Open Button and the Alarm Button also has these really interesting Mushroom Shaped US Buttons only seen on Super Early Soft Touch Installs before Circa 1993, they press and sound almost like the Circle Buttons too. Not only that, here is the shocking fact: ALL of the buttons, even the touch sensitive buttons, are original!
Despite being a bit rumbly, this does run fine. What a really neat and cool find this was!

Here we have another brass Impulse! Compared to the last one, this one runs much better! Even more unique is that the COP is a bit different (being a bit more flushed out) and it has a Mechanical Bell used for the floor pass, which I have never seen before!

Considering there are only 2 Public Elevators here, this is easily the lamest thing here at this mall, no contest. They also need to replace the flooring as some tiles are cracked and are loose.

Disregarding the crappy MAD BS Classic Replacements? for most buttons, this is one of the best TK Installs I've seen. The Cab is very nice and unique looking! I love than Indicator despite being glitchy, and the low pitch Dover Impulse Buzz is fascinating! Even though the replacement? buttons are crap, each floor button lights up a different color, giving them a bit of uniqueness for once! The remaining OG? buttons seem to be some weird VR, either like CA Compliant Style of TK VR or MAD BS CA, which is rather odd. Oh, and I forgot about the Epic Motor! This is a rather cool TK install despite the lame replacements.
