Meta Knight's carnage continues and it seems that he's in search of money..!
Unfortunately, he didn't get the memo that Kirby looted the nearest cavern and replaced all the treasure for food! Not only that, but the Great Cave has lost some of its glitz and glamour. Gone are the hubs and exploration, replaced with a straight shot to the finish.
Once we're done with that, Meta Knight needs to stress test that insurance policy by taking a test ride on the Halberd again. But seriously, do you have to sink the bird again?

Well, apparently I was hoping to have SOME money left over from the excursion in Ferris, but sadly, the shops just have too much inflation going on, so I'm nearly poor again. But at least, I have new stuff!
But ther's a more important goal on hand, the next dungeon. We not only get even more fun interactions between our growing band of colorful characters, but we also get more monsters on our tail, fun! But with dark forgotten places fill of hazards and Rogress, comes treasure to be discovered! Maybe my wallet will see a revival in this place! Let's explore!

Here is where this playthrough starts to get VERY interesting. If you're thinking V2.1 is gonna be just slightly different from the latest and greatest, Deep Sea Zone will greatly point out the reasoning behind all of this. To put it bluntly, this zone SUCKS! It is one of the main reasons why I wasn't too interested in the rest of the game, because this third zone ends up throwing you into one of the worst underwater Sonic experiences that I've ever experienced. So let's take a moment and look at what was lost between the two versions, and the aspects that still made it into the game. You'll be interested to see just how much made it back!

The bottom route on Zeppelin Stage IV is easily the biggest devourer of lives I've ever seen. Granted I was doing a PRETTY horrible job getting through this area. However, darkness, death pits AND enemies blocking safe ledges are pretty dickish moves. Count Zeppelin, I'm going to make sure to have burning stake for you, well-done!

As we continue the match between these two rivals, I learn that while the AI is pretty solid for the most part, it is prone to making a number of mistakes here and there. Bowser is definitely not immune to this. This video will showcase just how bad things can get for Bowser at times and I can say that this is one of the worst stretches I've seen for this spike-shelled koopa!
That being said, don't let this guy give you a false sense of security and force out some human hubris. Bowser is still a threat throughout and if you're playing well and trouncing this guy, you can STILL lose this much. There have been countless times where I did a bit of sandbagging, and he ends up sneaking out a win right at the end due to a few bad holes on my own part. Be merciless and take down Bowser for yourself!
Or... you can keep tying to the very end for a wonderful, but rare treat!
