Some of the best ant poisons you can buy or make don't work with some new crazy ants. The best ant poison I ever bought was TERRO and it and the homemade ant poisons I made have worked for years. However, I recently have been having trouble with a new crazy ant that does not respond to these old reliable methods.
These new ants could care less for sweets like honey or sugar and turn up their noses at cookie crumbs. What they like are fats and oils and protein.
The old ant baits relied on a poison that the ants would take back to their nest. What I have been doing is just locating their entry point into the apartment and dousing the area with boric acid and this has stopped them from coming into the house.
This method is not going to kill them in their nests outside but will block them. Also, it gives time to the homeowner to remove any sources of fats or protein laying around in your house.
Please check out my playlist of videos on pest control I have made over the years. I have made very popular videos on getting rid of mosquitoes, gnats, fleas, and all types of roaches and ants.

PS
To all of the grammar police who watch my videos, I saw the mistake I made in the video when I used the word you're instead of your.
I know the difference. I have been using Dragon NaturallySpeaking and did not pay attention to what it was writing for me. My mistake.

If your wireless microphone is not working with your android galaxy or iPhone or Google phone here is how I fixed mine. My camera phone did not recognize my microphone. My galaxy a21 worked with other microphones but not with my wireless microphone. I did some research and found out that my Samsung phone did not have an option to allow me to switch to an external microphone. My solution was to download a free app from the Google play store called open camera. Once I downloaded the open camera to my Samsung camera I was able to access the setting that allowed my camera to recognize my external microphone.
I am pretty sure this solution will work with other smartphones and camera phones and not just with the Samsung android phones.
I purchased my wireless microphone on Amazon however you may find them even cheaper elsewhere.
I will do a microphone review next week.

I removed a bunch of health-related videos from my channel. You can still find them on my mirrored site on Odysee. https://odysee.com/@RobbsHomemadeLife:f?
If you don't know what I was talking about when I said I was shaking the bush you need to go watch Cool Hand Luke.
By the way, since my channel is on so many different topics YouTube does not promote my videos much. If you like any of my videos a lot please share the link to them on social media as that is the only way to get more views to my videos.
Thanks again everybody, it has been a lot of fun.

This is one of my favorite recipes. It is relatively inexpensive, quick to prepare, and almost foolproof. The flavors are very robust and hearty and the different colors and shapes make it very appetizing.
One of my favorite parts is how the pasta absorbs all the liquid from the vegetables. Finally, it is not a problem to substitute different vegetables and flavorings. If you add a little grated cheese when done this is a meal you could serve to company and not be worried.
Recipe
cabbage
onion
onion powder
broccoli
Italian seasoning
Italian dressing
vegetable juice
parsley flakes
meatballs
salad olives
I was making a joke about the olives, some people do not like how often I add them.
You don't want to cook this until it turns to mush. Cook it on a very low heat until the carrots are done and the tortellini are plump. If you have no tortellini add a very small amount of macaroni.
You want a tight glass lid to keep the vapor from escaping and to be able to inspect the food while is cooking. If you don't have a lot of condensation on the bottom of the glass you need to add more liquid or stop cooking.

How accurate at cutting are electric scissors like the Worx Zipsnip? The Worx ZipSnip is a handy tool that does a good job of cutting cardboard, cloth, and some plastics. I have seen no reviews that showed how accurate the tool can be. I am making cardboard projects and need my cuts to be more accurate than what I was seeing in the reviews.
I found with a little practice I can get reasonable cuts without a straight edge. However, the electric scissors have a slot the user can use with a straight edge to get very precise cuts if needed. The only downside is the material has to be off of the supporting surface to allow the bottom of the scissors to cut the material. A razor and straightedge can cut material flat on a hard surface that supports the material which is an advantage over the electric scissors.
The Worx ZipSnip is an excellent tool for making cardboard templates or cutting certain cloth and plastic such as when you would be working on a boat or van to customize the interior.

This is a quick and easy dinner made with frozen sausage, shrimp, Bok Choy, onions, cherry tomatoes, and salad olives. The spices are red pepper flakes, garlic powder, parsley flakes, and a tablespoon of Italian dressing. The Ramen noodles are cooked in water with turmeric to give a golden color to the pasta.
I only use one small sausage to provide a little flavor. It is important to cook this on very low heat, between low and medium, that way you do not have to spend any time in the kitchen tending to it. Make sure the lid is tight to trap the steam and not dry out the food and use a timer to remind you after about 20-25 minutes and then you can check on it and probably boil the water for the ramen and in 3 minutes your dinner is ready.
You can make whatever substitutions that please you. The Italian dressing is a surprising addition but it gives a lot of flavor due to the vinegar and sugar and oil. Try to have your shrimp fresher than mine was and chop your Bok Choy stems before freezing. the actual green leave part of the Bok Choy crumble easily when frozen so there is no need to chop them.
If you have more time you can make this taste even better by sauteing unfrozen onions and Bok Choy in oil before starting and then add fresh unfrozen shrimp at the end, but the low heat used really does not overcook the shrimp that much and I am sacrificing some flavor for the quickness of the meal.
This a great meal for when you come home late and need to make something that does not require a lot of time in the kitchen, you can throw the stuff in the pan and set a timer and go take care of things for a bit until you are ready to make the noodles which only take 3 minutes. If you are vegetarian you can leave out the sausage and substitute chickpeas for the shrimp.

I have been messing around with a little cheap inflatable, the Intex 200, which is probably the cheapest boat you can get online. It is really just a pool toy. on the other hand, after adding a rowing frame and outriggers it rowed well and I gained more respect for the little boat.
The more I thought about it the more I realized a little cheap inflatable boat might be a handy addition to the preppers tool kit.
in this video, I brainstormed all the ways a little inflatable like the Intex 200 might be useful. Don't get me wrong, there are negatives with the Intex 200, primarily with the tender nature of the plastic it is made from, and I have no doubts about its lack of durability or seaworthiness, but it fits under the seat of your car and only cost me $12, although it is now around $20.
Watch the video and see what you think.
