The Caves are radically different from the Catacombs directly above, featuring lava rivers, ramshackle fences and natural rather than built walls. While the previous areas of the game have had clear rooms, corridors and doorway chokes, the caves are much more open. Though there are fences with doors, these don't necessarily create rooms but merely block passageways. They do not hinder the line of sight either.
