Called Remington and spent over an hour on hold. Finally got hold of a nice human being who told me that they might have to replace my pistol. I don't think this conflicts with what they said last time which was that they are "redesigning the bolt". They might have decided to redesign more. There is a strange drought of R51 videos so I suspect something is afoot. Stranger still was that they actually took the R51 to NRA this year. Why? I guess so they could field the thousands of questions about experiences like mine that are largely unanswered... no product advisory and no recall. Hmmmm. Time will tell, I just hope I am alive to see it.

Just another video on another gun. This is 10 rounds fired from a Butler Creek Hot Lips magazine to get the rhythm.
This is a standard Ruger model 10/22 semi-automatic rifle. The 'crank' on the side of the gun depresses and releases the trigger four times for each rotation. This is legal in most localities. It's difficult to control and all it really does is burn through ammo quickly. What results is not full-auto, it's more Gatling-gun style rapid fire. For the record, that's a "GAT" trigger attachment. It's made in Germany. I've modified the "GAT" by using a longer screw to attach a simple window crank bought at the local hardware store. To keep from marring the bottom of the trigger guard when installing the GAT, I use needle-nosed pliers to crush a spent 22 casing essentially creating a copper shim.
This is a follow-up video to my earlier one. This was with another gun that had a bipod on it. Easier to use the bipod. Note that this is NOT a BMF Activator trigger crank. I have one of those and do not use it.

Make a $1 spacer for your SWR Octane or Silencerco Osprey suppressors. Fixed Barrel Spacer is used to deactivate the piston when you use your pistol suppressor on a rifle with a non-moving barrel such as a blowback carbine.

I clean up and saw off a Mossberg Maverick 91 shotgun. This gun had several problems that aren't in the video, but for the sake of brevity, I left those out. Another abused firearm is getting a new lease on life!

The MagPul Battery Assist Device. What more can I say. VERY fast. Shortens your mag change time significantly. Keeps you from having to remove your right hand from the pistol grip.

This is a standard Ruger model 10/22 semi-automatic rifle. The 'crank' on the side of the gun depresses and releases the trigger four times for each rotation. That's 12.5 rotations for the magazine. This is legal in most localities. It's difficult to control and all it really does is burn through ammo quickly. What results is not full-auto, it's more Gatling-gun style rapid fire. For the record, that's a RamLine 50-rd magazine and a "GAT" trigger attachment.

Please watch to the end for some bonus footage.
This is an all-original WW1 Colt Model of 1911 pistol in .45 ACP. This has not been modified, updated, or altered. A friend of mine was chatting with me at the dog park and mentioned he had inherited a Colt 1911 from his father. The story goes, the father was a bartender and acquired this gun from one of his patrons. Turns out, it was an all original Colt 1911 made in 1918. I offered to clean it up and do a video on it and we went out shooting for the footage you see here.
