My goal/hard cap was at five or six reps, but the weight moved easily enough, that I thought I would match the reps that I did in last month's cycle, with 55 Kgs. Not bad! I think I still had another rep in the tank, that I could have grinded out, as well. That would put me at just one rep under my previous best of 9 reps with regular/touch n' go. Nice start to the cycle! ??
Man, I was not feeling strong at all today. Ques felt off, unracking game was really off, etc. However, my MIND wanted to excel. Despite everything, having 110 percent confidence makes all of the difference. The hardest part was just unracking the bar, but the rep itself went just fine. I just realized that you can't quite see all of the weight on the bar, particularly the 2.5 Kg plate at the end. That is unfortunate. I AIN'T NO LIAR, THOUGH. 120 Kgs MINIMUM is coming this year ??.

This is a shorter, condensed version of my coffee talk/rant about caffeine the other day.
We all love caffeine, and caffeinated substances (luv me tea, luv me coffee, simple as), but don't become addicted/beholden to it. Practice self control, and make sure you have other various variables in life in check. Very important!

Like I previously stated, I could definitely feel the fatigue setting in, so these were feeling a bit tough, but I knew I could push through, and nab a little PR, while still staying in the proper RPE range. Gotta make this last week count! I also had to quickly shower, and head to work in around 10-15 minutes after this, so I had to blast these out really quick, lol.

I'm Definitely still on the rebound, so to speak, and not at my best; but it is to be expected. This certainly felt heavy and slow, however it didn't look like it moved too bad, upon reviewing the footage, all things considered. I am sure I will build the performance and speed, in the coming weeks.

I was so bummed about missing the opportunity for a new rep PR, I thought I would try for it again. I rested about 8-10 minutes, and then gave it another go. My performance overall was much better this time. However, my strength was drained by that point, and it became clear I was not going to hit seven reps. The fifth rep was grindy, so I figured there was a good chance I would fail on the sixth, so after a bit of deliberation, I decided to not take the risk, and rack it. Getting five reps with depleted strength is still not bad, though. It is an encouraging sign that 100 Kgs is becoming easier and easier. That 100 Kgs for ten reps will be MINE one day ??

Still feeling like trash. Everything is just a continuous haze of dread, and anxiety, and my energy levels are just never there, when I need it. This is still a new rep PR by one rep with this weight, which was my goal, so that is MY VICTORY for the day.

Comp deadlift session felt pretty weak, but today felt okay. Still congested, and feeling weaker, but my drive remains, and I feel like my pep is starting to come back. Slowly yet surely coming around. I may lose a week of training due to my upcoming wedding/friends and family stuff, and everything else, but it is what it is.
