This night was one that will be burned into my memory forever. I was in my backyard doing my usual skywatching when I noticed this amazing object coming off the mountain in front of my home. I decided that because it was so close that I would jump in my car and try to get closer. This has to be one of the strangest things I have ever filmed. It had bright lights and what appeared to be small colorful orbs all over it. It started getting closer and closer to me. I figured it had to be a half mile or less from me when I began to wonder what I would do if it came all the way over to where I was standing in the desert. At that point, it went a different direction so I never found out if I would have had the nerve to stay there if it approached me. Don't let the sheer number of lights or orb-like objects fool you because it was in focus because when it passed a street light pole the pole was in perfect focus. It was extremely close to the ground but I don't think it was actually touching the ground. The impression I got at the time was that it was floating just above in a bubbling way.
