Cliff Empire Ep3 : This game keeps finding new ways to hurt me
That Earthquake stuff is pretty brutal. Really need to save up money in case they ever hit again and always have multiple maintenance depos. Power is one of the big bottlenecks and the canyon floor power is the best answer. Will have to come back and finish this off.
Cliff Empire is a Space-Management Game by Lion's Share. Following a massive nuclear war, the surface of the Earth is blanketed in a 300m thick layer of radioactive fog. Those who still live on the surface do so on artificial cliffs built high enough to escape the fog.
This game has awful lot of micromanagement going on but in a good way. On the plus side it gives you plenty of time to shoot up some enemies if you feel like it. On the down side a lot of the game play is not conducive to making videos. Need to figure something out on that.

We fall back on our tomb raiding past and it is paying off. Two free recruits for almost zero effort. I think we can stop a couple more times along the way and beef up our numbers a bit more. We are getting away from a river start and going with a chemfuel hydroponics approach. Should be very expandable assuming we have the resources to maintain it.

That one mistake cost us dearly. We need to be more careful and more defended in future. Our latest upgrade is going to make us more robust and I may even add some armour behind our defences to make us a little tougher.

Quick checkup on the natural farm, it's finally complete. Some additional rockets to get more isoresin as we still don't have enough Insulation. Also got in all the jet suit docks for all the future Astronauts.
Then a quick Decor upgrade using the new space artifacts, this should make the dupes immune to negative decor.
Then it's the joy of using steam to create energy to apply cooling to the steam turbine output. This cooling generates heat which we feed into more steam turbines to generate more power to apply more cooling :) The steam is essentially cooling itself. Might be an idea to expand this even further later.
I know I mentioned iron for wiring and then switched to gold muttering something about overheating. I wanted to not use lead, so Iron was a great choice until I remembered I want to turn it all into steel. That left me with Copper, Gold and Aluminum and gold was the most plentiful.

Looks like VOID does not want to go without a fight. So far we are progressing nicely on the SWAT front. We might need to fight that VOID wave to progress or run from the tile. But I think we should have a little stop with the psy storyteller as that should progress us on the Wizard front.

Time to start moving all the magma. Where we end up sending it is a different question but for now lets concentrate on getting it into a rocket. Was definitely feeling a bit sluggish playing today, I think part of me is still not back from the holidays.

Well past time to get into steam rockets, to make the steam we use regolith. I mess it up multiple times but finally manage to get two research steam rockets launched. Now we just have to wait on the data banks so we can get into petroleum rockets.
A little shove vole containment facility is constructed, this is more of a long term solution to them, I'm not sure it was a smart idea. I might be better served getting rid of most of them. But I do want to continue the map after I finish all the achievements. So having a seed population would be great.
We also get a bit of work done on a new type of Rodriguez , where we try to maximize hydrogen production. No idea if it will work but I think it's worth a shot.
