This is the first episode of the long running kid's drama. No one involved in making it then would have expected it to last as long as it did would think. This episode introduces Tucker Jenkins etc to their new school.
The first Roger Moore Bond film and one of his best ones. They really pulled out the stops to give the new Bond a very enjoyable start. It still moves along at a good pace and unlike some Bond films isn't overlong.
The story moves to Egypt at this stage.Well a sand quarry in Kent probably. With a suspension of belief in terms of the location still a very good episode though.
This is the first episode screened but not recorded of the action adventure cop drama of the late 70's.Hated by critics but loved by viewers during its popular run.In this episode a Scientist shows what he can do first by poisoning the water filer in a factory, then by threatening to do same in the Thames.Main guest star is Keith Baron as the idealist Scientist.Hope you enjoy it.
Fifth part of this epic 7 part tale.Reason for long stories that season was the Producer wanted to save some money on building new sets. The longer the stories less new sets needed was the idea. And indeed no story stands out as been cheaper than others that year.So it worked really.
At least Bond films do well here. This is a much more serious spy film than the previous few.A brave attempt to get back to basics though because of that its a bit dull in places.More than watchable though of course as usual.
Someone else on here just put up photos from this episode.Though it was recovered as a complete episode a number of years ago.Better than Part 3 which was never missing it seems.
This is part of Jon Pertwee's first season in the role.Easily the best, more serious and adult run for him.None of the cosy aspects of his era in place yet. This is a long involving tale about space travel.Several writers were involved,so its a bit messsy in parts but always engrossing.
