I wanted to take a few minutes to see what the differences were between a 1 second exposure and something shorter like a 1/4 second exposure. So I go out to a beautiful location near home and get some photos to see the difference.
Also, if you haven't seen Phil's videos, go on over to his channel and give it a look.
Let's talk about the 50mm f2.8 Nikon Enlarger lens that a viewer sent to me as well as some awesome prints that he made on his Canon Celphy printer.

Well, they did it! Nikon fixed all the problems with the first gen Z cameras and have now got the new ones ready for the holiday season!
I also state in the video that my camera grip held two batteries and this is wrong, it only holds one in the grip and one in the camera, sorry for the confusion.
What do you think?

In this episode I take off to Hemphill Road with my Leica SL2 and the 24-90mm zoom lens and do some landscape photography as well as some farm life photography and some urban decay photography all in one area... and sometimes in the same image! I photograph several old barns that have a lot of character as well as a couple of cool horses that decided to join me.
Note: Part 2 Photography Trip to Maggie Valley NC with my Nikon Z50 and Leica SL2 Cameras is a video about my solo travel to Maggie Valley to do photography.
Once I finished getting some epic photos with my Leica SL2 camera in this area I made my way over to Cold mountain again for some more amateur radio and to also do a little photography as well. The Leica SL2 really shines at this kind of photography and I love using it for that. The old metal bridge turned out to be a great subject in this area. This also goes to show that you should explore the area a little to see if there is something within a couple minutes drive of you primary activity. this is what I did at the bridge and found an amazing subject to photograph because of it.
After I finished here I made my way back to the hotel to setup and do a livestream and to get ready to leave the next morning. The livestream went well and here is the link if you didn't see it in the video.

The next morning found me packing up the Leica SL2 and the Nikon Z50 and the lenses I had brought with me as well as the lenses that I bought at Ball Photo the day before and then head off to Tallulah Gorge in Georgia to do yet another POTA activation as well as some epic photography in the canyon.
If you want to buy me a cup of coffee, here is the link for that too.

How about a lens with no glass in it? Well, let's see what that would look like then. (Spoiler Alert, not very good) HaHa. Seems that there is a reason that camera companies put glass in their lenses! Well, it is fun to experiment anyway, so enjoy!

I go for a walk in Bridgeport Alabama and explore the town on a Saturday afternoon and shoot some photos with my Nikon Z6 and the my Nikon D810 while using the 105mm f2 AF-D DC Nikkor lens on both cameras! There is even a little URBEX to boot! Anyway, follow along for some neat photos and to see Brideport a little while testing this amazing lens on a couple of different cameras.
