This Qigong warmup sequence will help you develop your connection with the Earth (grounding/rooting/earthing) and with Heaven allowing both energy qualities to flow through you and preparing you to be in the best state for your form practice.
I use this at the beginning of most of my classes to get my students in the right meditative state. You can take as long as you need to let the sensations develop and become tangible. This will greatly improve the quality of any other qigong exercises you will do after. Massaging the Laogong (pc8) and Yongquan (kd1) points of the hands and feet can help you feel the Qi and the connexion between the hands and feet faster at first.

Craniosacral Qigong allows the practitioner to feel it's own craniosacral rhythm and follow it along the spine to the head. It will strengthen the flow of Jing and cerebrospinal fluid in and around the spine, open up the DuMai channel and the microcosmic orbit. When practiced in harmony with full body breathing, the effects are multiplied.

Hand Mudras can happen during Spontaneous Qigong. They are often healing and come with strong Qi sensations. The different mudras will affect the brain differently and activate Qi flow in various ways. Listening to what is going on without any expectations is essential to uncovering this particular aspect of Spontaneous Qigong.
Spontaneous Qigong Exercises are advanced Qigong skill. This video is a demonstration only and not meant as a tutorial. The most important part when learning spontaneous Qigong is to learn how to stop it. I have seen many people claiming to do Spontaneous Qigong but very few are doing it to the level I am familiar with. Most are only doing what I would call "free form" qigong as they simply move around feeling the Qi and improvising a sequence of movement. Others didn't develop their Qi enough so the movements they are doing are weak and without form. They are often simply shaking or swaying gently. More dangerous are those that are induced by a teacher and are brought out of control with an emotional outburst looking like a tantrum. These demonstrations look spectacular but create a very dependent relationship between the teacher and the students/patients and should be avoided. Any training that will bring you great results should be cultivated patiently like a fruit tree if it is to bare flavourful and nutritious fruits.
