Nederlands: Wij willen de culturele sector financieel ondersteunen! Er zijn prachtige festivals, evenementen, theaters en podia die allemaal leven van de muziek. Wij, als band “Rapalje”, spreken veel boekers en we horen de schrijnende verhalen over hoe het nu verder moet, nu hun evenement is geannuleerd en er dit jaar geen alternatief voor in de plaats kan komen. Organisaties met personeel, die het hele jaar keihard werken voor een of zelfs meerdere mooie evenementen waaruit zij hun gehele inkomsten moeten halen. Al deze inkomsten zijn nu verdampt waardoor sommigen nu of straks in de wintermaanden hun personeel moeten ontslaan. Soms zal een faillissement zelfs onafwendbaar zijn. Wij komen als Rapalje, met ruim 100 optredens per jaar, op veel prachtige festivals en podia. De mensen erachter kennen wij persoonlijk en we hebben diep respect voor hen. Wij doneren dit geld rechtstreeks aan de mensen in deze sector die het niet gaan redden door Covid-19. Op onze website houden we bij wie er hoeveel van de donaties krijgt. They have to lay off their employees now or in the upcoming winter months or may even go bankrupt because of the fixed costs. With over a 100 performances a year, we as Rapalje, play at many beautiful festivals and stages. We know the people behind these companies personally and have great respect for all of them. That is why we will donate this money directly to the people who otherwise will not make it because of Covid-19.
