Previously, Noah and Mio's teams both ran into trouble returning to their respective Colonies. Since they met Moebius, it was as if their respective armies no longer recognized them. The two teams met again at the Gura Flava Lowlands and decided to join forces. We now have a six-person party and have started Chapter 2. Now, the group will start their long journey south to Swordmarch.
The party resumes near the Gura Flava Camp in the Alfeto Valley in the Aetia Region. To the south, they go through the Hermit's Alleyway cave. They move a large stone aside and go up the steep ramp.
When they emerge on the plateau, they go north. They examine a device that extends a ladder to the valley below. Shortcut!
The party goes south and emerges in the Millick Meadows. They start in the Kilmarris Highland. As they follow the path southwest, a scene takes place. The quest "The Hillside Hulk" begins. The party decides to investigate an old Ferronis to the south.
The party begins exploring the Millick Meadows. This is a pretty open area with lots of monsters.
Viliera Hill is an area straddling the river. On the high western slopes of Viliera Hill, the party finds some Soldier's Husks to send off. They also find a unique monster, the Perturbed Bilkin. It can be quite perturbing depending on the party's levels. It has dust that inflicts a healing-preventing debuff.
From Luca's Eyot in the river, the party follows the western bank south. They encounter another unique monster, the Indiscreet Gombaba. Quite a challenge. Sumo Press does high AOE damage. Fortunately, the party pulls through.
The party crosses to the other side of the river. Look out for the Level 80 Jingoistic Gigantus.
At Luca's Eyot, the party assists Heavy Brogs in a skirmish against Piros Crustips.
East of Luca's Eyot, the party finds some more Soldier's Husks to send off.
The party approaches the Hillside Ferronis Hulk and saves. Next time, they will investigate it for "The Hillside Hulk".

Previously, Heorot continued grinding in Escha - Ru'Aun. He has earned a total of 185 Job Points as Red Mage. In this video, he will do some more Job Point grinding as Red Mage in Escha - Ru'Aun.
Heorot resumes in his Mog House in Bastok. He picks up a few Merit Point upgrades.
Then, he heads out to Bastok Mines.

Heorot arrives at Home Point #1 at G-5. Up the hill, he examines the Undulating Confluence at G-5 to enter Escha - Ru'Aun.

Heorot arrives at H-11. After summoning his Trust NPCs, he hunts some more Eschan Il'aern in this zone.

In the southwestern part of the Wall of Joy in Luxerion's Warren, Lightning finds the "nameless man" to whom Mitka referred her for the quest "The Avid Reader." She chooses to ask about Ranulph's old journal. He gives her Reddick's Letter and tells her to seek out Erine in Yusnaan.
Lightning then heads to the North Station Plaza, where she finds Carla, one of the ghosts for "Voices from the Grave" (time 5:09). She was the murder victim Lightning saw here when she virst arrived in Luxerion. She offers insight into Etro's true role in creation.
Next, Lightning heads to the Monument in the Forsaken Graveyard. There, in the spot where she interrupted the Children of Etro's deadly ritual, she finds the ghost of another victim, Myka (time 12:45). This is not only for "Voices of the Grave" but also for "A Rose by Any Other Name," as Myka hands over the Phantom Rose when she goes into the light.
Along the North-South Corridor, Lightning finds another Chaos Infusion (time 17:43). A Niblet makes for a pretty poor monster, though.
At the Clock Tower in the south of the city, Lightning finds the third and final ghost for "Voices from the Grave," Zandra (time 19:37). She offers some insight into Noel. Sounds like he became something of a Robin Hood. Talking to the last ghost concludes the quest, earning Lightning her reward: 400 gil, a Halo, and some stat boosts.
There is another Chaos Infusion along the Pilgrim's Causeway to the east (time 23:56).
Back in the Wall of Joy in the Warren, Lightning talks with Alrick for "A Rose by Any Other Name" (time 28:32). A scene takes place when she hands over the Phantom Rose. As a reward, Lightning gets 3,200 gil, the Purple Lightning garb, a Crystal Rose, a Red Bow Tie, and some good stat boosts.
Next, Light heads to the North Station, where she will next take the train to Yusnaan. Yes, I am ready to infiltrate Snow's palace.

As of this recording, Nintendo just released the Switch remaster of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, which was originally for the Wii. This release of the game provides button entries and control stick operations that the player can use if they do not care for the motion controls. For instance, the sword can be operated by the right stick. And if the player wants to use motion controls, they can use the Joycons.
Storywise, Skyward Sword is chronologically the earliest game in the series. So far, the HD graphic updates look pretty good to me. They could have stood to orchestrate the soundtrack, but that's a minor quibble.
In this video, I show the game's title cinematic and title screen. Next time, we will get started.

Heorot resumes in his Mog House in Bastok. He picks up a few Merit Point upgrades. He also picks up a Job Point upgrade for 5 points. He has now spent 120 Job Points in total as Red Mage. He has 0 Job Points left over. In his delivery box, he receives gil for a Fire Cluster that sold at auction.
Then, he heads out to Bastok Mines.

Previously, the party explored the Port Town Rendoa. They also collected treasures in Velinard Castle and Dorwaam Crystal Palace, and they picked up new equipment recipes in Dorwaam and Kamiharumui. Now, the party will carry out the fifth inventory expansion quest for Tote. They will also pick up a few things they missed in Rendoa.
Kamiharumui North (time 0:26):
The party resumes in the church in the Royal City Kamiharumui North. They go outside and Zoom to the town of Julette.
Julette (time 3:15):
In the northeast, the party goes down the well at G-3 to Bolter's Bag Factory. Within, they talk to little Tote. Tote issues Quest 132: "A Difficult Order". The prerequisite is clearing Quest 131, the prior quest, and probably a certain number of Key Emblems. The first objective is to visit an Ogre boy named Pack in a well in Gartland Castle Town.
The party leaves the well and Zooms to Gartland Castle Town.
Gartland (time 6:00):
In the southeast square, the party goes down the well at F-6. Within, they talk to the Ogre boy Pack. The next objective is to defeat Trolls to obtain a piece of Spring Leather, which they must take to Tote. As Pack says, Trolls appear in the East Glen Region, but they also appear in the Boronus Lava Flow.
The party surfaces and Zooms to Glen Castle Town.
Glen (time 7:57):
The party takes the exit at H-6 to the East Glen Region.
East Glen Region (time 8:15):
While in the area, the party explores the northern portion of the zone for treasures and enemies. At this point, most of the area's enemies are trivial for my party.
Rockbombs and Knights Errant are in the eastern valley at F-3/F-4. At G-3, a red chest contains 3 pots of Royal Soil (まりょくの土).
In the northeast, the party takes the exit at F-1 to Lion's Gate (獅子門).
Lion's Gate (time 14:29):
As the party enters the area, the Lion's Gate destination is added to the Zoom Stone.
At D-8/E-8, they exit south to the East Glen Region.
East Glen Region (time 14:47):
The party ventures to the northwestern portion of the map, where more dangerous monsters lurk, such as Bomboulders (メガザルロック).
At D-2, a red chest contains 3 chunks of Silver Ore (ぎんのこうせき).
The party descends a ramp at C-2 to the northwestern valley. In a dead end in the southwest of C-2, a black chest contains a piece of Dragon Hide (ドラゴンの皮).
The party enters a tunnel at C-2. Within, they begin encountering Trolls (トロル). Their critical blows pack a punch, so be careful. They drop plenty of experience points and gold.
Daston reaches Level 44 and earns 9 skill points for a total of 20. Fura reaches Level 44 and earns 9 skill points for a total of 13. Under his Junk Skill, Daston spends 12 points on the ability Item Ninjutsu (どうぐ倍化術), which doubles the effectiveness of a consumable item, and 7 points on the ability Have a Ball (キラージャグリング). Under Fans, Fura spends 7 points on Attack Power +20 when equipped with a fan. That's helpful, because her attack power seems a bit lacking.
The party goes west and north and exits the tunnel at B-3. They emerge in the northwestern extreme of the main map.
At B-1, a black chest contains a Dragon Bone (ドラゴンのホネ).
Raguas reaches Level 45. He learns the spell Kaswoosh (バギクロス) and earns 10 skill points for a total of 17. Hussar reaches Level 44 and earns 7 skill points for a total of 16. Under Royal, Raguas spends 7 points on Breath Damage reduced by 10% and 7 points on Spell Damage reduced by 10%. Under Axes, Hussar spends 7 points on the ability Executioner (まじん斬り), a must for hunting Metal Slimes and the like. Under Cool, he spends 7 points on Double-Edged Slash (もろば斬り).
After a few battles, the party obtains the Spring Leather (スプリングレザー) key item. The next objective is to deliver this to Tote in Julette.
Outside the door to the Beast's Nest at B-1, the party examines the crystal. The Beast's Nest destination appears on the Zoom Stone list.
The party Zooms to the town of Julette.

Previously, the party pretended to be model prisoners in the Li Garte Prison Camp in the Cadensia Region. They carried out the standard quests "First Day of Prison", "Lost Stones", and "Second Day of Prison". Now, they will work with Ghondor and hopefully escape this terrible place.
The party resumes in the Communal Cell Block in Li Garte Prison Camp, Cadensia Region. In their cell, they level up with bonus EXP at the Cell No. 1 rest spot.
Then, they rest to advance the story. A scene takes place in the morning. Several NPCs have new dialogue in the morning.
As the party enters the Central Cell, another scene with the wonderful Prison Guard takes place. The quest "Third Day of Prison" begins.
After checking around inside, the party heads west out to the Perimeter Woodland. Just south of the Perimeter Outlet, there three Kaalm Garaffas. The party checks out the woodland before they take out all three Garaffas in the target area.
When the Garaffas are down, a scene takes place. "Third Day of Prison" complete! Better yet, it's time to start the breakout. First, the party takes out a total of nine Agnian Guards in three groups on the way west.
On the western hill, the party approaches Watchtower No. 1 for a scene with Ghondor. Ghondor joins the party temporarily as a Hero. As they make their way towards the southern gate, they take out a total of twelve Agnian Guards in four groups.
As the party approaches the south gate, another scene takes place. The party faces four soldiers in the Castle Guard Corps.
The party goes out the gate at the Prison Camp, Freight Gate, landmark. The Agnus Castle Barbican is to the east.
To the west, the party approaches the west gate for a long scene. Well, spark. I'd say we have some complications. I figured this wasn't going to be easy.
After the scene, the party battles a Gyrinus, a large Agnian Levnis. Ghondor has left the party, and there is no opportunity to select a different Hero.
Another scene takes place after the battle with Gyrinus.
Next, it is boss time against Moebius M. Her Eclipse Soul is a pretty powerful attack.
When the battle against Moebius M is over, another scene takes place. M's power is not good for team cohesion. However, Taion has an ace up his sleeve.
Then, it is boss time against Moebius M again. She can take over a party member with Eclipse Soul, but Taion's Mondo will mark this person. The party must attack this party member until M releases them. Then, they can get back to attacking M.
Another scene follows the second battle with M.
Afterwards, it is boss time against Moebius N. Not too bad for the overleveled.
However, another lengthy cutscene sequence takes place after the battle with N. That sword he has looks familiar. Well, this is not good.
After the lengthy events, we gain control of Noah in the Ivory Gaol in the Agnus Castle Region. Next time, the party will try to find a way out of this mess.

Previously, Heorot did some more "Rhapsodies of Vana'diel" missions and earned the "Rhapsody in Umber" key item. He also accepted Bastok Mission 5-2: "Xarcabard, Land of Truths". In western Xarcabard, he found the entrance to Castle Zvahl Baileys. Now, he will explore Zvahl and take on the Shadow Lord.
Heorot resumes at his Mog House in Bastok. He withdraws some Ether +2s from storage. Then, he heads out to Bastok Mines.
Bastok Mines (time 1:17):
Heorot uses the Survival Guide at I-9 to teleport to Castle Zvahl Baileys in the Valdeaunia region.
Castle Zvahl Baileys (time 2:03):
Castle Zvahl Baileys is a bit labyrinthine, so be sure to get the Map of Castle Zvahl before coming. Heorot is at Level 65, and he did not draw the attention of too many enemies during his stay. There are beastmen of various types here.
While in the area, Heorot takes out a Dark Elemental and acquires a Dark Cluster.
In the west of the first map, Heorot can go southwest or northwest to find stairways leading into a trench. He eventually decides on the northwest stairway at F-7.
Then, at F-8, he goes west to I-8 on the second map. To the north, he climbs a stairway out of a trench. Then, at I-6, he drops down a hole to the third map. He should have Sneak and Invisible on before he drops to the bottom level.
From the very bottom level, Heorot can follow a pathway starting at H-6/I-6. In the northwest of H-6, he takes a stairway leading back up to the second map.
Back on the second map, he finds a stairway at H-7/H-8 to the upper level of the area. Then, at F-8, he finds the exit to Castle Zvahl Keep.
Castle Zvahl Keep (time 25:55):
Heorot starts at I-8 on the first map of Castle Zvahl Keep. Naturally, there are loads of beastmen in the area. To the north as well as to the south, there are rooms and hallways linked by gates that must be examined. To get through easily, come at a high enough level to avoid aggro. At H-6 in the north, Heorot finds a stairway leading upstairs to the second map. The northern halls here are home to Quadav.
Following the western stairway at F-8, Heorot reaches H-8 on the third map. A little farther west, he finds an easy teleporter maze. The teleporter at H-8 in the center of the main room leads to the northeast room at I-7. The next teleporter at H-8 in the northeast of the main room leads to the southeast room at I-9. The teleporter at H-9 in the southeast of the main room leads to the southwest room at G-9.
The final teleporter at G-9 in the southwest of the main room leads to I-7 on the fourth map

Previously, Davilas began the Version 5.1 storyline. He helped Irusha purify three Magic Mounds throughout the Demon World. A scene took place back in Goda Temple. Davilas and Irusha were invited to Goura, the homeland of Madesagoura. Afterwards, Davilas went northwest from the Bardista Mountains and explored the Magic City Goura Ruins. He reached his next destination, the True Magic Palace. Davilas also took out General Gumei, a.k.a. Goresby-Purrvis, in the Magic Labyrinth. Now, he will continue the Version 5.1 storyline in the True Magic Palace.
Davilas resumes in his house in the Azlan housing area. Outside, he checks his mail and receives gold for items that sold on the bazaar. Many thanks to the buyers! At the bazaar, Davilas puts some more loot up for sale. He also deposits most of his gold at the bank.
When he is ready to go, he uses the Abyss Jewel to teleport to the True Magic Palace in the Goura Region.

Davilas gains control at E-8 in the south of floor 1F.
At E-6, he takes the door to the entrance hall. Elder Nubro welcomes Davilas and Irusha to Goura. They also meet Peperogoura, an unrepentant graffiti artist. I believe Peperogoura is also Madesagoura's grandson! Davilas's next objective is to go up to the guest room to get some rest. It is up the nearby stairs and to the right.
Davilas gains control at D-6 in the entrance hall. Jirock has story information.
Davilas explores the palace. In the northwest, he examines an Abyss Gate at B-4. This adds a new destination to the Abyss Jewel. The bank, bazaar, post office, and item shop are in the nearby room.
Davilas takes the western stairway at B-5/B-6 up to floor 2F. There is a puzzle to opening the southwestern door at C-6.
The inn is in the southeast of floor 2F. In the bedroom, a black chest at G-7 contains 3 Lottery Tickets.
Davilas takes the G-5/G-6 stairway down to floor 1F.
In the northeast, he examines another Abyss Gate at G-4. This adds a new destination to the Abyss Jewel. The pub and monster bar are in the nearby room.
Now, to solve the puzzle for the southwest door upstairs. First, Davilas examines the monstrous wall panel at G-6 in the southeast of floor 1F. He chooses to operate the switch. The flame in front of the wall panel's left eye disappears.
Then, Davilas examines the monstrous wall panel at B-6 in the southwest. He chooses to operate the switch. The flame in front of the wall panel's right eye disappears.
Davilas takes the B-5/B-6 stairway up to floor 2F. At C-6, he examines the southwestern door. The flames from the other two wall panels have appeared on this one. The door opens!
In the southwestern room, black chests at C-7 contain 3 Black Alchemy Stones (黒の錬金石) and a Dragon Medal (ドラゴンメダル).
Davilas goes back down to floor 1F. Then, in the entrance hall, he takes the D-5 stairway up to floor 2F.
In Peperogoura's room in the west, a black chest contains 10 Canaria Dahlias (カナリアダリア).
Davilas enters the guest room in the east and talks to Irusha at F-5. He tells her "Yes". His next objective is to rest in the southern bed. After this dialogue, Irusha has story info.
Davilas examines the southern bed at F-6 and chooses to get some rest. A couple of events take place. Afterwards, the next objective is to meet Elder Nubro in the throne room in the north.
Irusha at F-5 has additional story information.
Davilas leaves the guest room. He takes the stairs at E-5 to floor 1F. Then, in the northern hall, he takes the middle stairway at D-3/E-3 north to floor 2F.
Davilas takes the door at E-2 north to the throne room. Inside, he talks to Elder Nubro at E-1 in front of the thrones. A scene takes place. Davilas's next objective is to go to the Magic Garden Madesance just southwest of the palace. A workshop is there. Peperogoura wants to be a guide, but Nubro dismisses him.
After the scene, Elder Nubro has story information.
Davilas uses the Abyss Jewel to teleport to the Magic Garden railway southwest of the palace in the Magic City Goura Ruins.
Magic City Goura Ruins (time 32:34):
Davilas arrives at B-3. He steps forward and examines the vehicle on the tracks. This triggers a scene with Peperogoura and Irusha. Davilas chooses to let the little graffiti artist come along. It is like a roller coaster ride getting to Magic Garden Madesance.
