Malungkot na balita para sa fans ng Pokémon, at iba pang animated movie na binigyang-boses ni Kumiko Okae.
Binawian na ng buhay ang nagbigay-boses sa karakter ni Officer Jenny sa Japanese anime movie na “Pokémon: Lucario and the Mystery of Mew”.
Pumanaw na si Kumiko Okae sa edad na 63 nito lamang Abril 23 sa ospital sa Tokyo, dahil sa komplikasyong dulot ng COVID-19.
Nagkaroon ng lagnat ang aktres noong Abril 3 at kalaunan ay nagpositibo sa coronavirus.
Bago ito, napaulat na sumailalim din si Okae sa radiation therapy mula Enero hanggang Pebrero matapos masuring may breast cancer noong nakaraang taon.
Unang nakilala ang aktres sa mga serye at variety shows sa NHK noong 1975.
Tumatak din siya bilang host ng morning information show na “Hanamaru Market” mula 1996 hanggang 2014.
Bukod sa Pokémon movie, binigyang-boses niya rin si Elina sa “Dog of Flanders” at si Naoko, nanay ni Haru sa “The Cat Returns” ng Studio Ghibli noong 1999.
