Salvation is an offer of adoption that you accept by trusting the Jesus who rose from the dead. It's a gift, so you can't earn it or work to keep it; you can only live in humble gratitude for it.
Jesus is the only way to be reconciled and adopted by God as our Father. This is the Good News! Jesus Christ died for our sins according to Bible prophecy (the word of God), then he was buried, and then he was raised on the third day according to prophecy.
When we accept this Good News, we’re sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, guaranteed eternal life and cleared of all charges. Then we live to please our Savior.

The Acts of the Apostles is a continuation of the Gospel of Luke and covers the years spanning 33 to 63 A.D. It begins with a brief discussion of the final events of Jesus’ time on earth. Then the first 1/3 to 1/2 of the book covers the birth, establishment, and early growth of the Congregation. The rest revolves largely around the three missionary journeys of Paul, which helps to give more context to his letters.

We are Christ’s ambassadors, so God makes his appeal through us: Be reconciled to God. This is the Good News! Christ died for our sins according to prophecy, then he was buried, and then he was raised on the third day according to prophecy. When we heard the word of this saving Good News, we believed and were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit. At that moment we were guaranteed eternal life.
Because of that, we live in humble gratitude, since this isn't a license to sin. At salvation we were cleaned up, set apart, and cleared of all charges, not by performing good deeds or obeying the law of Moses, but by faith alone. We were saved only by the grace of God. It wouldn't be a gift if you had to earn it or had to work to keep it. Instead, you live to please God out of love.

The first letter from Paul to Timothy was written somewhere between 61 and 64 AD. It addresses how to deal with false teachers and how an established congregation is best arranged. Though it's often called a "pastoral epistle", note that Timothy is more of a church planter and missionary than a resident elder.
