PLEASE DO READ AN EXPLANATION OF THIS LONG CALL. This is just about the most stupid Scammer I have ever baited in over 10 years. He was pretending to be James Entwistle who was then the US Ambassador to Nigeria. He claimed to be travelling to UK with a package for me containing $1.5 million US dollars in cash. I just had to send him a fee of $650 dollars to enable him to register the package as diplomatic and avoid customs interest. To pay the Scammer I was supposed to use Western Union. This entails going to an agent, paying them the money and being given a 10-digit Money Transfer Control Number or MTCN. All I then had to do was give the scammer the MTCN and he could collect the money in Nigeria. I decided that I would see how long I could string out my reading over the phone of 10 digits and told him that I would be making the payment from Heathrow airport on my way to a holiday in USA. As I was going abroad, I would not have my mobile phone with me. So, I could only read the MTCN over the phone. No SMS and no email. You will hear me use a variety of sound effects to confuse and frustrate him, including morphing software, which makes my words run backwards, some soundbytes of another Nigerian Scammer asking me to call (that is read) him the MTCN, a coughing fit, and various other unpleasant sounds. Incredibly, this idiot Scammer remained on the phone for over an hour, by which time we were all muted with tears running down our faces. So, relax and enjoy listening to perhaps the most gullible and stupid Scammer on the planet.
