Jana's words on the Toccata N1. : "The Toccata's G major arpeggio opening gives it the character of an introduction or Preludio. It focuses on string crossings as the composer alternates between the melody line and pedal notes, as if the cellist is accompanying himself."
Jana's Bio:
Jana is a Lebanese born cellist and music educator.
She graduated from the State University of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart-Germany where she completed her studies in cello performance and achieved her Master's degree in Early Music/Baroque Cello.
Today, Jana pursues her career as a performer and teaches music at several universities in Lebanon. She is head of the first Center for Early Music in the Middle East at the Antonine University.
