Does Anyone Care - A original song composed by Rampert Ratnaiya- Sung by Rebecca Jasher.
This original song was composed by Rampert Ratnaiya in 2008 which was a response to the many farmer suicides that was happening in the country. We cannot look at it dispassionately because God who created man in His image is concerned about the justice matters of people. We cannot say like Cain "Am I my brother's keeper"?

William Wilberforce, a British parliamentarian said this - You may choose to look the other way but you can never say again that you did not know!

SONG LYRICS
I hear a cry that's raising From the northern side
A weeping and a wailing,
Father's dead! Suicide!
Tears have long been flowing
but the sky is always dry
The crops again have failed us
Mother dear tell me why?

Ch:
The shadow of a hunger never leaves us
Does anyone know, Does anyone care?
The shadow of a hunger never leaves us
Does anyone know, Does anyone care?

I hear a father calling
Its time to rise my child
The truck will soon be coming
So don't get left behind
The day brings forth a burden
The child can hardly bear
He longs for play and sunshine
and for the childhood he's never had

Ch:
From dawn to dusk his life's an endless labour
does anyone know? does anyone care?
From Dawn to dusk his life's an endless labour
Does anyone know? Does anyone care?

Bridge:
Broken lives are all around
Touch my heart, that I may see
Lonely cries are all around
Touch my ears that I may hear

May my heart be broken by the things that break your heart
And may my life be a pleasing sacrifice to you.
May my heart be broken by the things that break your heart
And may my life be a pleasing sacrifice to you, O Lord
