The Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft is the Army’s number one aviation modernization priority and is integral to effectively penetrate and dis-integrate adversaries’ Integrated Air Defense Systems. It will enable combatant commanders with greater tactical, operational and strategic capabilities through significantly increased speed, range, endurance, survivability and lethality”, said Dr. BRUCE D. JETTE, Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology.

Some planes have long had a reputation for being deadly in air-to-air combat. That is an arena built for the fast and evasive — and planes get faster and more evasive all the time.
But what do we do about the older fighters? Retirement or being passed on, second-hand, to other countries happens to some models, and some of these designs are so good, they last for decades. (The P-51 served in a military role until 1985). Other planes, however, undergo a little role change and start dropping bombs instead.

The M1296 Stryker ICV-D is a fl at-bottom ICV that the Army modified with an unmanned Medium Caliber Turret-30 mm (MCT-30) weapons system. The Army improved select Stryker mobility components to accommodate the increased weight of the turret and electrical power draw.
Units equipped with the M1296 Stryker will provide the Commander, European Command a medium-weight force capable of rapid strategic and operational mobility to disrupt or destroy enemy military forces, to control land areas including populations and resources, and to conduct combat operations to protect U.S. national interests.

The US Air Force decided to divert those funds for research on cutting-edge combat jet designs as part of the NGAD program. The F-22 Raptor fleet will be replaced by this sixth-generation fighter aircraft in the coming years.
The NGAD originates from DARPA's Air Dominance Initiative study in 2014, and is expected to field the new fighter aircraft in the 2030s. The secretive NGAD will then be able to directly fill the F-22 Raptor's air superiority role after the F-22’s siren song, but not on a one-for-one basis.

The U.S. Navys’ next surface warship will look a lot like the current Zumwalt-class of stealth destroyers. The future Large Surface Combatant, scheduled to enter service in the late 2020s, will retain the spaceship-like appearance of the Zumwalts, with weapons and sensors hidden under the flat surfaces of a radar-evading hull.

The F/A-18E/F Super Hornet is a twin-engine, carrier-capable, multirole fighter aircraft designed and built by Boeing. It is a larger and more advanced version of the original F/A-18 Hornet, and is used by the United States Navy as well as several other countries.
The Super Hornet has a length of 60.3 feet, a wingspan of 44.9 feet, and a height of 16 feet. It has a maximum takeoff weight of 66,000 pounds and can reach a top speed of Mach 1.8 (1,190 mph). Its range is over 1,275 nautical miles, and it can fly up to a maximum altitude of 50,000 feet.
The F/A-18E/F Super Hornet has a unique feature called the "multi-mission reconfigurable cockpit," which allows it to be easily configured for different mission requirements, such as air-to-air combat, air-to-ground strikes, and electronic warfare.
The Super Hornet is armed with a variety of weapons, including air-to-air missiles, air-to-ground missiles and bombs, and a 20mm M61 Vulcan cannon. It also has advanced electronic warfare systems, including jamming and deception capabilities, as well as an infrared search and track system for detecting and tracking targets.
