"Gypsy King” takes listeners on a nomadic journey back to the 70s, to a musical era defined by prolific foundations of groove and lush vocal harmonies. Inspired by flagship bands of the time like Santana and The Eagles, Brothers Keeper marries strong lyrical content with tasteful organ work, memorable choruses, and refined solos. Producer, Eddie Roberts, and bandleader, Scott Rednor's shared vision is evident in this well-honed collaboration that has the ability to grace speakers for generations to come. The track has been remastered for a new digital single release to spark the launch of the Go MAPS MUSIC record label. Based in Vail, Colorado, MAPS (Mr. Anonymous Philanthropic Society) is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that empowers artists to promote unity and peace in their communities through music. In the same spirit, the Go MAPS MUSIC label is inspired by connection, collaboration, education, and integrity in the music they produce and the relationships they build.

Andrew Bailie’s “Mr. Sunshine” is an exploration in soundscape. Galvanized from a loop of the A section, Bailie’s process started with a drone and slow burn for a period of months as he workshopped the tune daily in his Hamilton Heights apartment while living in New York City. “Mr. Sunshine” was the nickname given to his cousin Lowell who passed away tragically in 2015 and the song is a tribute to him transcending the physical realm and now walking in the sunshine. Bailie attributes David Gilmore’s guitar playing on iconic Pink Floyd records ‘Dark Side of the Moon’ and ‘Animals’ as a massive influence that had a huge effect on him and the torch is carried in the highest regard in this cinematic, blues rock release.

“Still Got Time” by Euforquestra is musically inspired by classic soul and gospel music while lyrically reflecting on the present times we are living in. Keyboardist Matthew Wright had the idea to write a song that speaks to the current state of the world and felt it needed not just the physical voice of frequent collaborator Kim Dawson, but her perspective as well. Dawson took the opportunity to be honest about her frustrations but didn’t want to leave it there. She wanted to impart a message of hope to listeners and use the song as a call to action to make the world a better place. The track is the third single off of the group’s forthcoming album ‘Still Got Time’ available on Color Red in fall 2022.

This song has an instrumental feel that is similar to the epic spirit of U2 and The Verve. Mike Carter’s guitar style creates a larger-than-life sound with his textural tones and vibrant leads. Adrian Tramontano’s powerhouse drumming creates a colossal atmosphere when the tension rises. Max Chase brings a spiritual feel in the verse with his piano lines and adds to the power of the chorus with the thick organ chords. Eric Gould keeps a strong pulse with his baselines the whole way through the song and also sings lead with all his heart. Together, this is one of the most meaningful songs in the Marble Eyes repertoire.

“Kyoto Cocktail” by Marcus Rezak and Kris Myers encompasses the sonic grit and edginess of a live performance in a New York City dive bar. During a car ride to a gig the night before the session at Color Red Studios, the two discussed their mutual love for fusion music coming out of NYC in the 80s and 90s. This particular era possessed a paradoxical combination of rawness and commercial catchiness that Rezak and Myers sought to capture through both production and composition in the studio. Rezak’s virtuosic, yet tastefully expressive guitar work and Myers’ signature style of syncopated and sophisticated drumming are accompanied by Tyler Adams’ (The Jauntee) soaring organ pads and Chris Duffy’s (Magic Beans) subsonic bass. The track is an exploration of rich melodies and rhythmic latitude that encompasses Rezak and Myers’ pedigree through both cutting their teeth at Berklee College of Music and a combined 50 years of touring between the two of them. Like its namesake derived from the suave and worldly mixed drink, “Kyoto Cocktail” is a concoction of a fruitful 15-year collaborative history between two of the most highly regarded and multifaceted musicians on the modern touring circuit.

NOA’s second solo single “Window Pane” is a breezy reggae fusion number inspired by the ambiguity of romantic attraction. Accompanied by bubbling offbeat guitars, synthesizer pads, and assertive drumming, the track was forged from the fire of a freestyle lyrical part that morphed into an introspective journey gazing into assessing what is real and happening in the moment. A long-time collaborator cutting her teeth in several projects across multiple genres in the Austin, TX music scene, NOA’s solo project finds her stepping out amongst ranks of bold and multi-faced frontwomen such as Ama Lou, Hope Tala, and Melanie Faye.

“Don’t Throw Me to the Lions” by Mo Gigs has a funky strut, hip-hop swagger, and garage soul vibes. Ageism is a common concern of society where one may begin to feel judged, weak, and useless as one gets older. Mo Gigs addresses these sentiments head-on commanding respect and debunking the notion that the quality of life deteriorates as the years add up. The Hungarian band cites “Upper Class” by The Poets of Rhythm as a primary influence while crafting the vamp and it is evident that Mo Gigs is a volitional contemporary of the iconic German funk practitioners.
