"Today in this short video I'll show you the only way how to clean the white walls on your motorcycle tires. I'm sure you've seen some of such videos, but... I will show you how to do it right, so keep watching. This is Max. Welcome to my channel.

In the comments to my videos I was asked to show how I clean and keep my white walls so white.
I have tried few different things to clean my tires before, but never thought that whatever I was doing was not right. I am sure you've seen recommendations to use this kind of the tire cleaner and that kind of the tire sealer. Stop doing it! Let me tell you why. Keep watching and I'll tell you all the truth about cleaning white walls on the bike tires.

Bike tires are not the same as the car tires. Car tires are kind of square with the wide tire tread rolling on the ground and the sidewalls somewhat separated from the road. Their sidewalls never touch the road surface. Bike tires are round with the small spot touching the road surface, and often that spot is somewhat on the side of the tire when you turn. Thus, it is very important to maintain the bike tires properly without sacrificing the safety.

I checked recommendations from all major tire manufacturers on how to clean and maintain the bike tires. You can see them all here. First of all, not many of the tire makers actually give any recommendations how to clean the tires that is kind of weird. Two companies though, Dunlop and Bridgestone give pretty good ones, and we'll rely on those.

Now let's clean the tires and go through all the recommendations that tire makers' give us one by one. I use my homemade $20 stand to clean the tires. It allows to keep the bike straight and also unload the wheels, so you can easily turn them while cleaning. Check my other video how to make this $20 jack (https://youtu.be/CWeI_B0fjI8). The link is on the top right of the screen, and also in the description bellow.

Recommendation number one:

Only use a mild soap solution to clean your sidewalls, white striping or lettering. I use a regular dishwasher liquid. This one is actually biodegradable, thus, no harmful impact on the nature if you care of course. I make a mix of one part of the dishwasher liquid and 5 parts of water.

Spray the entire sidewall of the tire, brush in the solution using this kind of brush with the plastic bristles. Let it sit for a bit. Spray it again and then brush the sidewalls thoroughly. Keep spinning t
