To celebrate the official launch of The Chopra Well on July 16, Gotham Chopra lead a Google+ live stream on the channel with special guests Deepak Chopra, Mallika Chopra, journalist Lisa Ling, former President of Mexico Vicente Fox, author Paulo Coelho, actress Fran Drescher, Facebook inspiration and activist Eric Handler from Positively Positive, and yoga instructor Eddie Stern with 40 inner city kids who have embraced yoga and mediation as a way to bring peace into their lives at the Ashtanga Yoga Studio.
Together the panel discussed the importance of peaceful resolution, how to create inner peace and how social media can help expand our consciousness to achieve critical mass so we can begin a ripple effect of positive change throughout the world. The hang out concluded with a guided meditation lead by Deepak himself.

Can I Reduce Physical Pain? Ask Deepak Chopra!
Are there non-prescriptions ways of decreasing pain?
Any form of physical exercise will reduce pain in almost every chronic illness because exercise gives you an endorphin boost and endorphins have pain reliving properties.
Other good ways to reduce physical pain is by practicing yoga and meditation. Good breathing techniques are very important and they are all extremely useful when tackling pain. Laughter, music, positive social interactions and gentle massages are also good ways to deal with pain.
Common misconceptions are that drinking alcohol or smoking will ease pain but they actually make it worse.

In our third class we do a short re-cap of lessons one and two, followed by an introduction to a cleansing breath called Kapalabhati. Thus far we have been focusing on slow paced breathing practices to calm the nervous system.
Today we move towards a slightly quicker breathing pattern that still results in a feeling of calm after. We also discuss the diaphragm as the primary muscle of respiration; the nose as the primary organ of respiration; and how the Yogis said that the lungs are the organ that can control the speed of our heart rate.
