Today we’re looking at a budget usb microphone, the FiFine K670. This mic comes in at under $50, and seems to work well enough. It does have an over boosted high end that can be a bit harsh and fatiguing, but I think plenty of people upgrading from gaming headsets will be perfectly happy with this thing.

Today I review the sE Electronics VR2 which is an active ribbon mic with a healthy sensitivity and a nice extension into the treble and air frequencies. I think this is a great option for adding to a mic locker if you want a ribbon mic in your mic locker.

Today I review the Mackie EM-USB, a new USB Condenser Microphone. This mic offers a more neutral sound compared to most other affordable USB microphones. One huge draw back is the fact that it does not have zero latency monitoring and no metering. I also compare it to the Rode NT-USB Mini, the Blue Yeti Nano, and the Blue Yeti.

Today I review the AKG P220. This Is 1” condenser microphone that has a very flat mid section and a boosted high end. This leads the mic to sound a bit top heavy, brittle, sibilant, and breathy. The only application I really liked it for was on acoustic guitar because it adds a nice percussiveness to the tone.
