Thus Spoke Zarathustra: On the Sheep and Shepherd — Based on Nietzsche’s Slave and Master Morality
Nietzsche’s book Thus Spoke Zarathustra was wonderfully beautiful to read and very inspiring. I wrote a piece inspired by the philosophies in the book. It was nearly a comic strip-like image that appeared in my brain while I was reading it; and while I was trying to figure out what to write for my paper, I decided to describe what I was envisioning.
The language that the Zarathustra was written in was tremendously interesting, it was nothing like Nietzsche’s other books and very inspirational. I hope you enjoy my rendition, although I would need to write about eighty more to rewrite his entire book.

The ideas Nietzsche expresses in his works are beautiful and vast, mindblowing and complex. His slave and master morality and the superman (or ubermensch, or overman) can be applied to society but more so has to do with our psyche and how the outside world can affect us. Very similar to Plato’s charioteer analogy, Freud’s levels of the consciousness, Buddha’s Four Noble Truths, (any many more), there are wild parts of us that exist and to take control of them can only make life easier.

? My wisdom teeth are finally out!! So this footage is from November 2020, I thought I would take the opportunity to edit a video from when I didn't have any time! Writing the senior thesis for my philosophy degree was intense, especially after I found my paper in someone else's work! Thusly, in taking after Simone de Beauvoir's philosophy on Surpassing in The Ethics of Ambiguity, I attempted to recreate her outline. Of course, I did add a bracketed intro explaining the "surpassing" and how my thesis outline is designed by her. I really hope you all enjoy this, being that I'm editing it over a year later, hahah! :)

Here is a presentation for my Biomedical Ethics class, the first ethics class I have had with in-depth applied ethics (in theories) and I would recommend it to anyone with an interest in moral philosophy!
There is no intro or outro because this video is for school, but I quite liked making the PowerPoint – let me know what you think of this style!
Biotechnology itself contains a host of ethical questions. In this video, my main question is this: who can afford an extended life span? Who currently can? And are the prices currently set to a point in which only the highest socioeconomic class can afford an extended life expectancy? Examples I use include companies like Syngenta with their Golden Rice, Novartis with Kymriah, and then Spark with their Luxturna. Should Kymraih cost three times more than what it ought to? Stem cell therapy costs too much, even considering how much time and money it takes to put in them.
One point that was not covered in the video is this: should we advance the human lifespan at all? The earth can only hold so many humans at once and so extending the human lifespan would have to come with extending the number of livable areas that we have, as well as the amount of food, water, and every other resource.

?INTRO TO HEIDEGGER – In Heidegger's Being and Time, right off the bat, it is quite difficult to understand what Heidegger is trying to achieve. In this video, Artem Alex and Loren Danger talk about the difference between two conscious modes: Autopilot Mode (Habit) and Analysis Mode (Meta); or, Heidegger's "Inauthentic" and "Authentic". Heidegger uses the term "Care" but here, to make more logical sense, Heidegger's professor Husserl, his term "Intentionality" makes more sense to explain the spark that one finds between the Autopilot and Analysis Mode.
