This is video #040 in my playthrough of Final Fantasy IV: The After Years for the PC. This is episode 5 of Yang's Tale: The Master of Fabul.

We are currently grinding in previous tales in preparation for The Crystals. We finished up with Rydia and Luca in Rydia's Tale. They are each now Level 38. Now, we will move on to Yang and Ursula in Yang's Tale.
Overworld:
When we resume Yang's Tale from the completion save, Yang and Ursula are outside Fabul Castle. Yang is at Level 22, while Ursula is at Level 21. The nameless Monks are no longer in the party, which is just as well. We won't have to KO them to keep them from hogging experience points.
The party enters Fabul Castle.
Fabul Castle (time 0:28):
In the inn, the party stocks up on Potions, Hi-Potions, and other consumables. While Ursula has Chakra, she cannot use it outside of battle. With only two party members, Ursula will be doing more attacking. The party also checks the weapons and armor shop but does not pick up anything.
They leave the castle.
Overworld (time 2:11):
The party heads west to Mount Hobs.
Mount Hobs (time 3:01):
The party crosses the East Slope to the East Trail.
On the East Trail, Ursula reaches Level 22.
The party crosses the Summit and the West Slope. On the West Slope, they visit Namingway and grab some Tents and Cottages.
The party exits to the Overworld from the West Slope.
Overworld (time 5:57):
The party goes west to the Impact Crater.
Impact Crater (time 7:02):
The party descends the Upper Wall. On the Middle Wall, they save at the save point before they continue down.
The party does the bulk of their grinding on the Impact Crater - Floor. The monsters are pretty easy, for the most part. Yang and Ursula can take most of them down with one attack, even during a full moon. However, a Red Dragon can appear during a new moon. The party will avoid that murderous fiend until they have earned a few more levels.
Yang reaches Level 23.
Ursula reaches Level 23.
Yang reaches Level 24.
Ursula reaches Level 24.
Yang reaches Level 25.
Ursula reaches Level 25.
Yang and Ursula reach Level 26.
Yang reaches Level 27.

When they are done, they take the northwestern exit from the Floor to the Overworld.

The party heads east to Mount Hobs.

The party visits Namingway to refill their stock of Potions. Then, they head back out.
Overworld (time 56:50):
The party saves outside the Impact Crater. Next time, they will continue grinding.

Previously, after the eventful start of Chapter 6, the party met Mio in the Ascension Grounds, Agnus Castle Region, for a scene. Ghondor joined the party as a Hero, and Sena inherited her class, Martial Artist. Mio also learned Dominion Flower. The party took the shuttle down to Mulus Depot in the Agnus Castle Barbican, Cadensia Region. They took the West Perimeter Gate from the Prison Camp and went down to Hope's Rest for some more scenes. The party returned to the Ascension Grounds for some more events. Their upcoming story destinations are the Cloudkeep and Colony Omega. However, they now have a fair backlog of side quests in Agnus Castle and Erythia Sea. They will now get started on them.
The party resumes in the Ascension Grounds, Agnus Castle Region. They set Gray as their current Hero. At the Death's Door camp, they level up Gray with bonus EXP.
The party visits the Commissary and picks up some accessories.
In the west, the party talks to Seeker, who has a quest marker. A scene with Seeker and Ghondor takes place. The standard quest "Going Home" begins. Time to help the former prisoners return to the City. This will also show the player how to get there again.
The party talks to the Agnus Soldier in the northwest and takes the Levnis to Mulus Depot in the Agnus Castle Barbican, Cadensia Region. They go out the south gate and take the elevator down to the Central Harbor.
A Container is on the eastern guard platform.
The Funicular Approach Landmark is in the middle of the east-west walkway.
On a boarding platform in the east, the party talks to Darnie. Darnie asks them to open the floodgate.
The party goes to the control room in the southwest. They operate the control panel to open the floodgate.
Then, the party returns to the pier in the east, where they talk to Darnie. This triggers a cutscene that includes Ghondor. The next objective is to defeat monsters on Farview Cape.
The party skip travels to Doublecrag Gate on Corne Island in the Erythia Sea. They board their ship and sail west to Farview Cape on the western edge of the sea. In the western clearing, they take out eleven monsters: two Varmeen Blants and nine Varmeen Medoozes. There is a rare item in the northwest.
A scene takes place after all the enemies have been defeated.
Afterwards, the party talks to the Armory Pilot. They ride the Levnis to the City in its new location.
When they arrive in the City, another scene takes place. "Going Home" complete!
The party gains control in the City, which is now in its own region. The player's Agnus Castle affinity reaches Rank 2.
They skip travel to the Ascension Grounds, Agnus Castle Region. There is now a Traderpon. The party gathers some new info: "Seeker's Rumors (1/2)" in the southeast, "Castle Prisoners (1/2)" in the south, "Castle Prisoners (2/2)" near the middle, and "Seeker's Rumors (2/2)" in the north.
At the Station Breakroom, the party discusses "Seeker's Rumors". This starts the standard quest "Seeker's True Intent". There are four Agnians to talk to.
Near the breakroom, the party talks to Soona. They learn "Seeker's Identity (1/4)".
The party takes the shuttle to Mulus Depot in the Agnus Castle Barbican, Cadensia Region. In the east of the depot, they talk to Grover. They learn "Seeker's Identity (2/4)".
West of the depot, the party talks to Kaye south of the prison camp. They learn "Seeker's Identity (3/4)".
The party skip travels to the Funicular Approach at the Central Harbor. In the northeast, they talk to Darnie near the elevator. They learn "Seeker's Identity (4/4)".
The party skip travels back to the Ascension Grounds, Agnus Castle Region. At the Death's Door camp, they discuss "Seeker's Identity".
In the west of the area, they talk to Seeker for a scene. Time to gather provisions for the City and take them to Darnie.
The party talks to Seeker again. He gives them 5 Imperial Toas Eggs and 5 Crustip Jet Sprays.
The party skip travels to the Funicular Approach at the Central Harbor, Cadensia Region. They talk to Darnie in the northeast and give her some items. They have barely enough for 100%. If you need more, hunt Garaffas in the Perimeter Woodland for Garaffa Tenderloin.
The party skip travels back to the Ascension Grounds, Agnus Castle Region. They report to Seeker in the west. "Seeker's True Intent" complete!
At Death's Door camp, the party levels up Gray with bonus EXP. They also level up a gem. Next time, the party will continue quests in Agnus Castle and Erythia Sea.

Previously, Heorot carried out San d'Oria Mission 8-2: "Lightbringer". Though he was not the one that found Lightbringer, he earned King Destin's praise and attained San d'Oria Rank 9. Now, he will work on San d'Oria Mission 9-1.
Heorot resumes in his Mog House in San d'Oria. He heads outside.
Northern San d'Oria (time 1:13):
Heorot teleports to Bastok Mines.
Bastok Mines (time 1:47):
Heorot chats with Zopago in the Chocobo Stables. He gets the Day 30 status report for Amber Beauty, his now grown-up chocobo. While taking Amber for a regular walk to the Konschtat Highlands, he searches while she is distracted. He finds a Dirty Handkerchief temporary key item. This is what he needs for the Chocobo Whistle quest.
Heorot also sells off some loot to Neigepance.
Once Heorot has finished caring for Amber, he teleports to Bastok Markets.
Bastok Markets (time 8:14):
Heorot talks to the Artisan Moogle at H-7 to get another free Scroll of Instant Warp.
Then, he teleports to Southern San d'Oria.
Southern San d'Oria (time 9:38):
Heorot visits Hantileon at I-11 in the Chocobo Stables. Hantileon gives Heorot the Chocobo Whistle! It is neckwear. While it is equipped, he can use it to summon the chocobo registered to it.
Heorot teleports back to Bastok Mines.
Bastok Mines (time 12:25):
Heorot talks to Zopago at the Chocobo Stables. Enough time has passed that Heorot receives the Day 31 status report for Amber Beauty. While Heorot takes her for a long walk to the Pashhow Marshlands, he runs into Dietmund of Jeuno. I wonder if this scene requires completing the Beastmaster unlock quests. Heorot also registers to to call Amber Beauty with his Chocobo Whistle. Amber Beauty is registered as she is now. If and when her stats improve, Heorot will have to register her again to get those improvements.
Now, the Chocobo Whistle is limited to 25 uses. To continue using it after those 25 uses, Heorot will have to pay 10,000 gil to a Vana'diel Chocobo Society representative, like Hantileon or Zopago. Fortunately, there is now a way around that.
Heorot teleports to Upper Jeuno.
Upper Jeuno (time 18:41):
In the Chocobo Stables pen at G-7, Heorot trades his Chocobo Whistle to Mapitoto, the Tarutaru disguised as a chocobo. Since he has completed the quest "Full Speed Ahead!", she will register the Chocobo Whistle in his Trainer's Whistle. Heorot obtains the Mounts key item "Chocobo Companion". He can now call the chocobo registered in his Chocobo Whistle as many times as he wants!
Heorot teleports to Northern San d'Oria. It is time to get back to the missions.

Previously, the party explored two Auntie Cleo facilities in the Roseway Gardens region. First, they explored the old Auntie-Biotics Lab south of Roseway and rescued Jameson for the side quest "By His Bootstraps". Then, they explored the Storage Facility to the east. For the companion quest "The Cleaning Machine", they found the Acid Steeper to repair SAM, the cleaning robot on the Unreliable. For the side quest "Vulcan's Hammer", they found Orson's FORCE Pistol Schematics. Finally, they traveled south to the Covert Lab. In this video, they will explore this facility for the side quests "By His Bootstraps" and "The Doom That Came to Roseway".
Roseway Gardens:
The party resumes just outside the main entrance to the Underground Lab in the south of the Roseway Gardens region. Auntie Cleo sure did an amazing job making it covert. The party heads inside.
Underground Lab (time 2:02):
The party starts in the unattended lobby of the lab. In the lounge beyond, though, they meet Porter, the head of security. If the party says that Anton sent them, he will tell them about the Outlaws and Raptidons in the facility. Porter points out that the terminal in his office can make keycards. Sounds useful.
The party heads east from the lounge and begins exploring the facility.
After a battle, Davilas is promoted to Level 14. He allocates his skill points. He puts his perk point into Scanner, which provides a 20% bonus to headshot and weak spot damage while in Tactical Time Dilation.
The jail is to the east. The party can lockpick open the containment cells individually, or they can hack the terminal to open all the cells at once. In the southwestern cell, they find a Book, a collectible for the Unreliable. There is a Workbench in the armory east of the jail. The party uses it to repair their gear.
Southeast of the lounge, the party heads downstairs to the lower level of the facility. In and around the break room in the southeast, there are Outlaws and a Scrap Automechanical.
There is a storage room south of the break room. The party picks up a Sedative Gas Canister. If they find all three of these, they can put the Raptidons in the facility to sleep. A locked door in the west of this storage room leads to a closet with a second Sedative Gas Canister.
Northeast of the break room, the eastern door leads to Anton's Office. The party examines Anton's safe, but it has been forced open and raided. For "The Doom That Came to Roseway", this concludes the objective to find Anton's safe. The

Previously, Link began the game as a cadet at the Knight Academy in the airborne realm of Skyloft. It is the day of the Wing Ceremony. Unfortunately, he is missing his mount, a large type of bird called a Loftwing. He must find the bird before he can take part.
Skyloft:
Link resumes near the Plaza in the south of Skyloft. His next guidance is to head north towards the Statue of the Goddess again.
Along the way, Link enters the Knight Academy's lower level.
Knight Academy (time 1:29):
Link chats with folks in the academy on his way through, including Horwell and Headmaster Gaepora in Gaepora's room. Then, he takes the upstairs exit from the school.
Skyloft (time 4:34):
As Link starts up the stairway leading to the Statue of the Goddess, he is hailed by Pipit outside the Sparring Hall.
Link hops down and talks to Pipit, who is with Fledge. Fledge reveals Groose's dastardly plan. Link's Loftwing is hidden near the waterfall in the east of Skyloft. Pipit marks the location on Link's map. Link can talk to Pipit again to learn that there are monsters in the cave. Link should visit the Knight Commander in the Sparring Hall.
So, Link enters the Sparring Hall.
Sparring Hall (time 7:36):
In the Sparring Hall, Link talks to Knight Commander Eagus. Afterwards, he goes into the back room and takes the Practice Sword. In the main room, he talks to Eagus and then uses the logs to practice most of the basic sword techniques: various slashes and the thrust. Afterwards, Link can choose to practice the spin attack and then the fatal blow.
A scene takes place when Link tries to leave the hall. Because of the circumstances, Eagus lets him take the sword with him, as long as he only uses it when he must.
Skyloft (time 13:43):
Outside the Sparring Hall, Pipit offers excellent advice: save often.
East of the Bazaar, there are stepping stones over the pond. Under the waterfall, Link finds the entrance to the Waterfall Cave. As he approaches, a scene takes place. He must slash some wooden barricades before he can enter.
Waterfall Cave (time 16:47):
The Waterfall Cave is a short area, home to easy Keese and Green ChuChus. They may drop some useful resources. Just inside, Link can jump through a gap in the fence to a lower ledge where a chest contains a Red Rupee, worth 20 Rupees.
In the south, Link can climb some vines to a ledge where a chest contains another Red Rupee.
Near the exit in the northwest, there is a ledge east of the path. From there, Link can enter a short tunnel that contains two Red Rupees.

Previously, the party defeated the Elemental Archfiends and the CPU in the Giant of Babil. After some events, Kain rejoined the party, and they returned to the Moon. Now, they will collect Fusoya's augments from the Crystal Palace. Then, they will return to the Blue Planet for some side questing.
Lunar Surface:
The party resumes on the Lunar Surface near the start of the tunnels leading to the Crystal Palace. They enter the Lunar Tunnel - West.
Lunar Tunnel - West (time 1:15):
The party goes north through the western tunnel.
Along the way, Rosa reaches Level 66.
Lunar Surface (time 2:28):
After exiting to the Lunar Surface, the party heads southeast and enters the Lunar Tunnel - East.
Lunar Tunnel - East (time 3:41):
The party goes south through the eastern tunnel.
Kain reaches Level 63. Rydia reaches Level 66.
Lunar Surface (time 5:18):
Back on the Lunar Surface, the party goes west and enters the Crystal Palace.
Crystal Palace (time 5:24):
Behind the dais where they met Fusoya on the first floor, the party finds some presents from Fusoya: the Phoenix augment, the Bless augment, and the Omnicasting augment. Great stuff! The Omnicasting augment requires giving Fusoya one augment. Phoenix requires giving him two augments.
Kain learns and equips Phoenix. If the user is knocked out in battle, Phoenix will consume all of its user's MP to resurrect all party members other than the user. Rydia learns and equips Bless. This is the same as Fusoya's Bless command, which gradually restores the party's MP during battle. Rosa learns and equips Omnicasting. Omnicasting allows the user to target all allies or all enemies with any spell, even those that are normally limited to one target. Haste-all or Blink-all, anyone?
Now, the party will get to work on optional stuff. They leave the Crystal Palace.
Lunar Surface (time 8:04):
To the east, the party heads into the eastern Lunar Tunnel.
Lunar Tunnel - East (time 8:11):
The party heads north through the tunnel.
Lunar Surface (time 9:12):
After leaving the eastern tunnel, the party heads northwest to the western tunnel.
Lunar Tunnel - West (time 11:04):
The party heads south through the western tunnel.
Lunar Surface (time 12:12):
The party boards the Lunar Whale. After resting up, they fly to the Blue Planet.
Blue Planet Overworld (time 12:43):
The party flies northwest from Eblan Island to Baron. They land and enter Baron Castle.

The party heads to the western section of the castle. East of the West Tower, they pass through the Red Wings' quarters and go to the roof.

Previously, the party returned to Colony Omega. They had Ethel undergo the maturation process, and this completed Ethel and Cammuravi's ascension task. At Li Garte Prison Camp, the party carried out the standard quest "Contrary Emotions" for Colony 0. Now, they will continue carrying out Colony 0 quests so they can do Segiri's ascension quest.
The party resumes in Cell No. 1 in Li Garte Prison Camp, Cadensia Region. With Segiri in the party, they discuss "Colony 0 Duties", which they learned in video #141 after finishing "Contrary Emotions". This starts the standard quest "Acknowledging Feelings".
The party goes to the Central Cell and talks to No. 8 for a cutscene. They follow him north to the storehouse and talk to No. 8 for another scene. They obtain the Grubby Painting.
The party skip travels to the City Camp in the City. Down in Virid Park, they talk to No. 10 for a scene. They follow No. 10 afterwards.
No. 10 leads them to Leeanne in the Centrilo Parade. Another scene takes place when they arrive. Naturally, Leeanne needs stuff.
The party skip travels to the Spartan Fennick grave in Low Maktha Wildwood, Pentelas Region. To the south, they find the Metessia Resin on the ground.
The party skip travels to the Ishan Isle landmark in the Erythia Sea, Cadensia Region. They sail south. Off Cape Arcaphor, they defeat the Zhell Ottil in the search area. They obtain the Seven-Hue Seashell.
The party skip travels to Serene Square in the City. They talk to Leeanne in the Centrilo Parade for a scene.
The party skip travels to the Central Cell Canteen in Li Garte Prison Camp, Cadensia Region. They talk to No. 8 in the Central Cell for a scene. "Acknowledging Feelings" complete!
After checking around again, the party approaches the quest marker north of the Central Cell Canteen with Segiri in the party for a scene. The hero quest "Invisible Bond", Segiri's ascension quest, begins.
The party talks to No. 6 for a scene.
They skip travel to the Lambda Canteen in Colony Lambda, Pentelas Region. They talk to the Lambda Soldier at the Commissary for some dialogue and a scene. Next, they talk to Whitby in the northwest for a scene. Afterwards, they talk to Tonya east of the Canteen for another scene.
The party skip travels to the Colony 4 Ferronis Hatch in Colony 4, Fornis Region. Jeremy is here for some sunny conversation. The party talks to Maxie in the Council Room for a cutscene.
The party skip travels to the Zorza's Stonehammer landmark in Dannagh Desert. In the search area in Fetos Sandgarden to the north, they examine Levnis Wreckage in the west for a scene.
The party examines the Trace Clock Energy. They follow it east through the Apex Wing. South of Bulik Brae, they approach a door for a scene. Finally, the door is opened!
The party discovers the Ecto Hollow landmark as they enter door. Just down the path, they open a door to find a room with a Container.
The party goes through the door at the bottom of the path for a cutscene. They meet No. 13, who looks quite familiar.
After the scene, it is boss time against No. 13. At Level 70, she is pretty hard-hitting.
Another cutscene takes place after the battle. The party follows No. 13 out to the ledge for another scene. Then, they go back in and pick up the Snow-White Mythrice.
The party skip travels to the Central Cell Canteen in Li Garte Prison Camp, Cadensia Region. A cutscene takes place when they arrive. "Invisible Bond" complete! The rank limit for Segiri's class, Machine Assassin, increases to 20.
The party checks around the colony again afterwards. The new quest event in the middle hallway is a bit in the way, though.
The party skip travels to Vinisog Holm Camp in the Erythia Sea. Kisame there has new dialogue.
The party saves. Next time, they will infiltrate Origin, the final stage of this lengthy game.

Previously, Heorot continued grinding in Escha - Ru'Aun. He has earned a total of 294 Job Points as Red Mage. In this video, he will do some more Job Point grinding as Red Mage in Escha - Ru'Aun.
Heorot resumes in his Mog House in Bastok. In his delivery box, he receives gil for a chunk of Eschite Ore that sold at auction. Many thanks to the buyer!
Afterwards, Heorot heads out to Bastok Mines.

Heorot teleports to Misareaux Coast, Tavnazian Archipelago.
Misareaux Coast (time 1:57):
Heorot arrives at Home Point #1 at G-5. Up the hill, he examines the Undulating Confluence at G-5 to enter Escha - Ru'Aun.
Escha - Ru'Aun (time 2:36):
Heorot arrives at H-11. After summoning his Trust NPCs, he hunts some more Eschan Il'aern in this zone.
Heorot accrues 4 Job Points for an overall total of 298 Job Points earned. He has a current total of 10 Job Points.
When he has finished for now, he uses the Undulating Confluence at H-11 to return to Misareaux Coast, Tavnazian Archipelago.
Misareaux Coast (time 49:25):
Heorot arrives at G-5. Just down the hill to the west, he uses Home Point #1 at G-5 to teleport to Port Jeuno.
Port Jeuno (time 50:02):
Heorot trades his Crests to Shami at H-8 for storage.
Then, he teleports to Bastok Markets.
Bastok Markets (time 51:48):
Heorot trades his Copper A.M.A.N. Voucher to Isakoth at E-11. In Mjoll's Goods, he sells his loot to Olwyn at E-11.
Then, Heorot teleports to Bastok Mines.

At the auction house, Heorot puts a Wind Cluster up for sale.
Then, Heorot enters the residential area.

Previously, the party defeated the CPU and stopped the Giant of Babil from destroying the Blue Planet. Fusoya left the party to help Golbez go after Zemus, but Kain rejoined the party. The party defeated Odin in Baron Castle so that Rydia could learn how to summon him. Then, they sought out seven of the eight Eidolons that were missing from the Feymarch. Now, they will explore the Lair of the Father to find the last missing Eidolon and to enlist Bahamut's aid.
Lunar Surface:
The party resumes outside the Lair of the Father on the Lunar Surface. They enter the dungeon.
Lair of the Father (time 1:06):
The party starts on floor B1.
They open the southwest chest for a set of Genji Gloves.
Past a hidden passage in the northeast, they find a chest that contains a Genji Shield.
Edge reaches level 59.
The party exits southeast to floor B2.
In the west of B2, a chest contains a suit of Genji Armor. In the east, a chest contains a Genji Helm.
As the party begins crossing the narrow path to the northern part of B2, they encounter the first of three Behemoths in this place. All the Behemoth encounters here are fixed. They counter offensive magic with Maelstrom, and they have strong physical attacks, so be careful.
Kain reaches Level 59. Rosa reaches Level 60 and learns the White Magic spell Holy. Cecil reaches Level 61. Rydia reaches Level 60 and learns the Black Magic spell Flare.
The party takes the northeast exit down to floor B3. Along the narrow passage leading to the western part of the floor, they encounter the second and third Behemoths here.
Edge reaches Level 60 and learns the Ninjutsu Frost.
In the western part of the floor, the party finds the eighth and final missing Eidolon southeast of Bahamit's dais. The Eidolon heads for home.
The party climbs the dais and talks to Bahamut. After a little dialogue, he challenges them to battle.
Boss time against Bahamut! If the party is quick, they can defeat him before he casts Megaflare. Not much problem at all.
At the end of the battle, Kain reaches Level 60. Rosa reaches Level 61. Cecil reaches Level 62. Rydia reaches Level 61.
Another scene takes place after the battle. Rydia learns the Summon Bahamut! Magnificent.
Afterwards, the party Teleports out of the Lair of the Father.
Lunar Surface (time 28:34):
On the surface, the party returns to the Lunar Whale. They rest aboard but find they are still hungry. Oh, wait; wrong game.
The party flies back to the Blue Planet.

Previously, the party finished collecting the game's hidden monster Summons for Rydia, and they showed off the game's summons. Now, they will confront Zemus and conclude the second playthrough.
Lunar Subterrane:
The party resumes in the save room on floor B7 in the Lunar Subterrane. After preparing, they go downstairs through floors B8-B11.
On floor B12, they finalize their ability setup. Then, they head north for some epic scenes that include Zemus, Golbez, and Fusoya.
After the epic scenes, it is ... not quite yet boss time. Cecil must use the Crystal to reveal Zeromus's true form.
Once Zeromus's true form is revealed, it is now boss time! He can still do a lot of damage, but with their preparations for the superbosses, the party can handle him without too much trouble. Especially Cecil with Limit Break, Focus, and Darkness.
For defeating Zeromus and clearing the game a second time, the player earns the Steam achievement "Earth's Savior Times Two". For clearing the game on Hard mode, the player earns the Steam achievement "Bitter Battle".
Final Scenes (time 17:24):
After the battle, the final scenes play. Just as good another time around. After the scene on the Moon, there are several scenes involving the past and current party members and other characters. They culminate with the final scene in Baron's throne room.
Credits (time 34:43):
After the scenes, the credits roll. With the recent update, we can now hear a song, "Tsuki no Akari" ("Theme of Love"), based on Rosa's theme. Hopefully, I don't have to cut it out to avoid a copyright claim.
The recent update is not bad. I think it helped with an occasional controller issue. Also, the game display now fills up the window, which is nice. You can also use a mouse now if you wish.
Post-game Save (time 41:42):
After the credits, the player can make a second post-completion save. One more playthrough is available in this playthrough chain. Unfortunately, this edition of the game does not provide a second Limit Break augment. Fortunately, it is not really needed, unless you really want to maximize every character's stats.
Unfortunately, I did miss the Steam achievement for completing the bestiary. However, I know where I messed up; I will have to defeat Dr. Lugae rather than Barnabas in the Tower of Babil. Still, it is entirely possible to get all Steam achievements in two playthroughs.
This concludes my second playthrough of Final Fantasy IV for PC. Next time, I will get started on the third and last playthrough in this chain.
