Note: I attempted to fix a subtitle for 5D4 image, which should be shot on the Novoflex BALPRO T/S but may still read Cambo. Even after updating, it didn't change. Or did it?
This is my farewell address/review to/for the Fujifilm GFX50s. It is a lot easier to use than a digital back, and outputs images just as good. But chalk it up to the videos I did earlier comparing outputs from the EOS R and SL to it, as well as pitting it against older digital FF like the D800, and I am left wondering why I kept the faith.
Consider this my farewell to the 50s. It is a good camera and part of the most exciting contained MF system out there. But I am returning to dSLR for the time being.

Disclaimer: YinYoo sent the D2B4 to me for the purposes of a review at Headfonics. Later, I published a shorter review at ohm-image the text of which last week I thought to turn into the script for this video.
Inside are housed four balanced armature and 2 dynamic drivers. The D2B4 started around 110$ USD but can now had for a bit more than 80$. It is well made, poorly branded, and good sounding.

Off and on since January, I've been shooting a number of headphones for Headphone Book magazine. Included are the six shown in this video. Whilst waiting for the courier to come pick them back up, I had about an hour to touch, try, and listen to each.
This video comprises brief, off-the-cuff impressions about headphones both released and unreleased and which have been passed about from reviewer to reviewer. They have scars. I had to peel and blow away ear wax, sweat, and other things. I haven't the foggiest idea if they are final production or not.
Not a one belongs to me, though I really, really, like the Ultrasone Saphire and Audio Technica ATH-AP2000Ti and endeavour to make one of them mine.
I hope these impressions offer some assistance.

Disclaimer: Cayin Japan kindly loaned me the N6MKII for the purposes of this review, an RMAA article, and more.
I’ve had the N6MKII since late October last year. In quick succession I tore apart its boxes and took a handful of purdy photos of it. But software problems (my end, not Cayin’s), kept me from doing much testing. (Apologies to both Cayin and to those next in the review queue.) Those issues are long gone.
Despite the delays, I am readay to say what I was ready to say from day one: that the N6MKII is beautifully made, nicely branded, but not for me. I say this not because it is too big; I say this because it is too complicated; I say this because its battery life is poor. I say this because I’m a mid-range guy and the N6MKII obviously aims higher than that.
Not sound
The N6MKII’s biggest problem is lithium-ic. Even when shut off, its battery drains in less than a week. Playing back music, its battery drains in (less lthan fifteen hours), but add browsing, fiddling with various controls, and album swapping, and that number quickly dips below ten hours. Considering its power, that isn’t bad. Typically, however, the DAPs and other audio gear I use, can, under the most demanding use, keep up a steady fifteen hours. To be fair, many TOTL DAPs similarly fare, but to be fairer, getting through a modern work day and the commute home on a single charge should be par. My most used audio devices are MD recorders, none of which gets worse than 15 hours of battery playback, some of which get more than 20. And then there are my Cowon Plenue DAPs, each running for more than a day. Even Onkyo’s DP-S1 gets at least twenty hours.

Jerry Harvey Audio’s Roxanne Aion sports 12 drivers per side. That’s 4 highs, 4 mids, and 4 lows. It isn’t too sensitive, but it will hiss with most MD players and recorders, as well as get loud from any source. It goes for 2300$.
You can find out all about it from the link below:

The last high-end MD downloader was Sony's first downloader-only Hi-MD unit. The end was nigh. And what an end move it was. The MZ-NH3D is a phenomenal player. Great sound. Amazing build. Precise finish. But it hissed a bit, and had a horrible hardware interface. Thank God its remote is good.

Fujifilm's firmware 4.00 turns the X-T3 into a true iconoclastic beast! Down with the dSLR! The resultant schism in the Catholic 5D4 world is yuuuuuge! And, in protest, the atheist cometh!

If like me you love MD you probably can recognise players and recorders and certain functions, hatches, and buttons, by sound. Or maybe you think you do. Let's touch and try a few MD units and disks up close and personal, acquainting ourselves with a few of my favourite units's bits and bobs.
Oh, and AMA (but keep it optical).

NOTE: I tried to live stream this response five or six times. Two of them were messed up do to my error. The rest were destroyed because of internet errors. I have to fix that. I have kept up a version of the previous live stream that survived for about 40 minutes and then died. That version is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIMRV2e7Uv0.
Then I decided to try to re-cap the entire thing as a normal video, to then upload later. That is this. I could have recorded the live stream, but I wasn't smart enough to do that. So.... there is this.

As a long-time user, my sincerest wish is that Fujifilm will create cutting edge action-oriented cameras with no holds. The X-H1 was held back in many areas because it attempted to bridge the traditional Fujifilm X body style with a more programmable interface that is more reliable for action as well as events without having to deactivate certain functions.
Because of a number of improvements to Fuji designs in the GFX100 and the X-T4, I am totally white pilled for the H2 and further GFX cameras. I am at a bit of a crossroads with the x series though, but I hope this video will help illuminate what makes me optimistic.
Feel free to read my article about improvements necessary for the X-H2, here:
