North Saskatchewan River Camping, Bike & Boat Adventure, Part 1
I have set up my touring bike to haul both my inflatable boat, a Hydroforce Voyager 300, and my camping gear. The idea is to launch the boat some place up the North Saskatchewan River, camp on an island over-night and then float all the way back to Edmonton.

the-perfect-bike-ride,-alberta's
The perfect bike ride is one that leads through a beautiful area on a trail or bike lane that is separate from the road that motorized vehicles use. Such a ride now exists along the North Saskatchewan River, east of Edmonton. Good starting points are either Rundle Park, or Strathcona Science Park, as paved trails now exist from there, all the way to the beginning of the Riverside Nature Trail that stretches all the way to Fort Saskatchewan.
A footbridge is planned for the near future that will connect this trail system with the existing trails on the north shore at 167th Ave.
The city of Edmonton has a survey open to all residents that you can access until April 29th, 2021. Take it here:
