This short film follows a young boy around his small world in the era of the gold rush where he meets local animals and describes his life and the activities of others at home and in their small town. There are no real credits to the film but it appears to have been filmed in Northern California. Possibly around Klamath or Trinity or the Redding area.
This film is not listed in IMDB but the film credits Louis Clyde Stoumen as the director photographer.
Stoumen was the winner of two Academy Awards; the first in 1957 for Best Documentary Short Subject (The True Story of the Civil War), and the second in 1963 for Best Documentary Feature (Black Fox: The Rise and Fall of Adolf Hitler). He is also the inventor of what is referred to as the Ken Burns effect. Making still photographs appear to have movement by panning across the screen. He also wrote the screen play for the 1970s cult classic, "Harold and Maude".

1957, "FULL OF LIFE" Judy Holliday, Richard Conte, Salvatore Baccaloni, entire film with "MEGASCOPE" original theater trailer. This is a REMASTERED EDITION and is a huge improvement over my first original release of the same film August of 2019. New software made this possible. I will leave that posting because there are so many wonderful comments and I do not want those lost.
In this wonderful movie writer Nick played by Richard Conte and his wife Emily, played by Judy Holliday are expecting their first child. The aged home they have purchased becomes a death trap when pregnant Emily falls thru the rotting kitchen floor. Unhurt but shaken the couple begin inquiring professionals as to the cost of repairs. It becomes obvious the necessary home repairs are going to be more than the couple can afford, Nick must swallow his pride and visit his father, a proud Italian immigrant stonemason played by the talented and lovable Salvatore Baccaloni with whom he has a difficult relationship, and ask him to do the work. Confronting the issues of religion and family tradition which have separated father and son causes Nick and Emily to reevaluate their lives and the things they value most.
