This is your opportunity to declare yourself as American. The 1779 Package is the fastest way to land in America. It includes the 1779 Document, 2 Witness Testimonies, a Cover page, and your birth certificate. Go to CaliforniaAssembly.com. Then “Paperwork”. Downloads are available for both MAC and PC. Start with the Witness Testimony. Choose the correct form according to whether you’re a man or a woman. You can choose either to print the document and complete all the fields by hand in blue ink, then attach a current passport photo in the space provided... Or, if you’re computer savvy and have a color printer, download a free passport photo app. We use Handy Apps Passport Photo ID Studio. Follow the usual passport photo guidelines: white background, no hats, plenty of light. Send the photo to your computer. Copy and paste it into the Witness Statement. You can also type in all the information except the autographs. Be sure to correct the alignment and remove underlines where necessary. Color print your Witness Testimony. Give the Witness Testimony to 2 witnesses that have known you for at least 7 years. Have them complete their portion and instruct them to sign in front of any local notary...then return the notarized document to you. Your witnesses do not have to be on the land or in your state. Or, your witnesses may join you and be notarized with our dejure notaries. Complete the Cover Page. Include your return address in the top left corner. Type or write in your name in capital letters as the Foreign Grantor. Type or write in your name in upper and lower case as the American State Grantee. Print. You will choose one of the three 1779 Declaration documents. If you were born on the 50 states, choose the Declaration titled 1779. If you have been naturalized or hold a Green Card, choose the Declaration for Legal Immigrant. If you are a federal employee, choose the Declaration for Federal Employees. Be sure to correct the state or county in the document. If you are Naturalized, the state and county where you first landed in the 50 states is correct. Print. Be sure to bring a birth certificate.
