Stadia's Launch Keeps Getting Worse...
Let’s get started with google, if you haven’t heard of the delays and issues stadia already has, click up here to get caught up. But let’s look at the new ones. So the three months of stadia you receive was supposed to come with an extra 3 months to play with a friend. That buddy pass will only be sent to you about 2 weeks after you receive your actual bundle. Nice. Then they added that 4k will not be available for PCs at launch. Neither will HDR, or even 5.1 surround. And that support won’t come until at least 2020. Then, all the extra google features like crowd play, state share or keystream connect won’t be available for the games that have been announced, in fact, at launch, none of the youtube or social features will work. They also said that “games” that will support those features will come out next year. This is odd because it makes it seem like the developers have to build those feature into the games and we all know what happens when Dev’s have to add something themselves.. It usually just doesn’t happen. Plus, if you want to do anything like change quality settings for chromecast or account info, you have to do it from your smartphone.
Google, this is bad. Sure a streaming service is hard to build from the ground up, but I think you should have went for a much longer and much more complete beta. Project stream was not a beta, it was essentially a tech demo at this point. And now you’re making people buy hardware for an incomplete service where rollouts of the best promises like social integration, 4k60 and others won’t happen until 2020 and I highly doubt it will be early 2020. That’s bad.
I mean look at Xbox, they’re still in their beta preview phase and they’ve just added to their library which now includes over 50 games. The preview is also coming to PC’s in 2020 and they’re expanding it other countries too. The biggest win Xbox will have over the rest is compatibility with Xbox game pass, so it will truly become a Netflix for games.
Now just to be clear, PS now did it first. But PlayStation has a lot of limitations on the service like only being available on PC and ps4, controller support, and the limited resolution of 720p. At least they plan to fix some of those in the future.

amd-gpu’s-will-soon-support-g-sync
Let’s get started with Nvidia. G-sync was introduced back in 2015, it was, for the most part, a hardware module added to monitors to sync refresh rates to frame rates. That technology would only work with Nvidia GPU’s and when monitors with the tech started to come out, they had a pretty hefty premium because of that module. In the same year, AMD introduced Freesync which did the same thing except it was available as part of the Adaptive sync standard. Nvidia pretty much shunned AMD by not letting their GPU’s support Freesync.
Fast forward to January this year and Nvidia opened up a little by letting their GPU’s mingle with the free sync crowd. That way you can use cheaper Freesync monitors with Nvidia GPUs. At this point, you can use Nvidia GPUs with g-sync or Freesync monitors, and AMD GPUs with Freesync ones.
And that brings us to today, A recent TFT central report revealed that Nvidia is finally going to open up their G sync technology to AMD GPU’s. It took them long enough but at least it’s an F for effort. With that, Nvidia is also introducing a new G sync firmware that will add variable refresh rate over HDMI. Something that Adaptive sync and Freesync 2.0 was already doing. The only issue is that this firmware will only work for newer and future G-sync modules. Oof. so yeah, if you have a G-sync display and you want an AMD GPU, you can do it now, and if you’re looking for a variable refresh rate monitor, just buy an adaptive sync one, save some cash.

nvidia’s-titan-rtx-or-4090-ti-is-real!
Lets get started with Nvidia , so, a couple of months ago, there were rumors of a new RTX Titan class of gpu. I remember the leaker who mentioned it, kopite 7 kimi, called it “The beast”. It would have about 11% more cuda cores at 18176, 48GB of gddr6X memory at an insane 24Gbps and would have a power limit of 800w. Not a TDP, a power limit.
Anyways, that was about mid last year and then A COUPLE of months later, once the RTX 4000 series was announced, a photo of a super weird GPU cooler leaked. And when I say weird, I really mean it. In case you forgot, here is what it looks like .
And it turns out, I was right. Well, half right. I also thought it could be a dual gpu, but yeah. Yesterday, this cooler design was spotted again, but this time on the io side, and fully assembled. This is what it looks like. The stacked IO here shows that the PCB Lines up here . You can even see the notches in the cooler from the old pic of the cooler. The main reason I see nvidia do something like that is simply to have the best cooling possible. At that point, the PCB doesnt impede on the flowthrough design at all. Its still odd that the cooler would be this big though given how the 3 slot cooler on the 4090 is already really good. Im guessing that 4 slots was needed to get the pcb height, so essentially this part, wide enough to accommodate all the components on the PCB. Yeah, that makes sense.

Another day, Another canceled event! According to ARS Technica who spoke with multiple sources at the ESA, E3 2020 is no more.
The event was supposed to be held from June 9th to June 11th in LA but has reportedly been canceled due to... Well, you know what it’s due to. No official statements from the ESA have been released yet but you can trust ARS Technica. This would be the first time E3 has been canceled since 1995. So if you were planning on attending, make sure you cancel your flights and hotels!

3 new unknown AMD CPU’s have popped up in the 3D mark database. It was spotted by Tum Apisak and they are the AMD RX 8125, RX 8120 and A9 9820. The processors with the RX prefix are likely Embedded processors with 8 cores and 8 threads something similar to what you would see on the Udoo Bolt that was kickstarted last year. As for the A9 9820 , Its likely a Laptop APU but this time with 8 cores and 8 threads. I assume they all come with some sort of Vega Integrated graphics but no specifics have been leaked. I’m guessing we might learn more about these after the Partner event.

Alright, Let’s start this journey by looking at the past. AMD has had quite the leaps and bounds since the release of its Zen Architecture. With Zen 2, AMD thought they could squeeze an 8-10% IPC uplift. We'll, they ended up with a 15% IPC improvement over Zen. With that, there was a very modest clock speed improvement. Something like 200Mhz for similar SKU's or 400MHZ for the highest-end models.
Anyways, past that with Zen 3, we got even better results with a 19% performance improvement. Even more impressive. Huge IPC uplift.
And IPC is important because it Lise Dr Su said, *Clip*architectural improvement and not clock speed improvement. - For example, at the same clock speed, a Zen 3 cpu is 19% faster than a Zen 2 one at the same clock speed and core count.
But IPC is not everything. As Lisa said, it bumps everything up, but what if you could change one part of the CPU, and that would only bump one type of workload, like gaming.
Well, that’s why we have the 5800X3D. The architecture is the exact same as the 5800X. The IPC improvement is non-existent. The only difference here is the amount of the L3 cache.
Exhibit A:, the score. AMD says they have reached over a 15% uplift in single-threaded performance. Not IPC. but performance. That’s important because it means that clock speeds are added to this calculation. If we take the 5950X which has a clock speed of 4.9Ghz and bring that up to the 5.5Ghz we say during gaming. We’re looking at a 12-ish-percent improvement in clocks alone. So is the IPC improvement really around only 3 to 8%?
Well, it's entirely possible. Some would consider this Zen 3++, but the clock speed increase is still pretty insane.

In the last few days, we got lots of leaks, lot’s of rumors and lots of salt, and today is no different. So a few days ago we got out the first leak concerning the refresh of AMD’s Ryzen 3000 series of CPUs. There were 2 SKU’s , the 3750X and the 3850X. And while those rumors dont have much to stand on, the leak that followed from wccftech does. We got the naming scheme for 3 new CPU’s, the 3600XT, 3800XT, and 3900XT. That’s all we had, but today, we also have the specs, and we’re going to compare them to the current stack! Btw, this information comes from a well-known leaker who provided the first 2 cpu’s. HXL.
Let’s start with the 3600XT. Looking at the naming scheme we can tell that it would be a refresh of the 3600X. The existing chip has a base clock of 3.8Ghz and a boost of up to 4.4Ghz. This new 3600XT will apparently reach the 4Ghz mark in base clock and the boost will jump all the way up to 4.7Ghz. So a boost of 200Mhz on the base clock and 300Mhz on Boost.
Moving on we have the 3800XT, once again, a refresh of the 3800X. That chip starts with a base clock of 3.9Ghz and a boost of up to 4.5. Looking at the leaks on the refresh, the 3800XT break through the 4Ghz barrier for a base clock of 4.2Ghz. That’s pretty impressive. The boost clock is the same as the 3600XT at 4,7Ghz. So, 300Mhz more on base, and 200 more on boost clocks.
Lastly is the 3900XT. A refresh of the 3900X. The original 12 core cpu has a base clock of 3.8Ghz, and a boost clock of 4.6Ghz. The refreshed 3900XT also breaks the 4Ghz wall at 4.1Ghz on the base clock and up to 4.8 on boost. That’s the highest clock on any retail Ryzen CPU to date.
