The 2A36 Giatsint-B (Russian: Гиацинт; "Hyacinth") is a Soviet/Russian towed 152mm field gun howitzer which entered service in 1975. The 2A36 is designed to suppress and destroy enemy manpower and equipment. It is also suitable for counter-battery fire. The gun can be used in various weather conditions and has been tested in temperatures ranging from −50 °C to 50 °C. The gun is in use in Russia, a number of CIS countries, Finland, and Iraq.
The 2A36 is fitted with a semi-automatic breech block, a hydro-pneumatic battery, which uses the energy from the recoil, and a chain-driven rammer for the projectile and the cased propellant charge. The carriage is raised with hydraulic power. It is also equipped with a two-speed mechanism for elevation.
The gun barrel is 152 mm caliber, and is rifled. The length of the barrel (including muzzle brake) is 8,197 mm (27 ft). The carriage is forked and suspended.
The guns are usually deployed in batteries of six to eight guns; promotional material claims that a battery can place more than 1 tonne of projectiles on a target in one minute. In Russian service, the gun is usually towed by a KrAZ-260 9 tonne 6×6 truck or by an artillery tractor, such as the AT-T, ATS-59, AT-S, or MT-T. When towed the carriage is supported by a four-wheel (two wheels on each side) walking beam suspension, permitting the gun to be towed over rough terrain at speeds up to 30 km/h (18.6 mp/h). In firing position the trail legs are split and the gun rests on a circular jack under the forward part of the carriage. This arrangement allows for gun traverse of 25 degrees to the left and right. Several types of trail spades are available to suit the season; the summer spades are larger to suit softer ground.

There's a lot of love out there for this tough old bird. he A-10's large, unswept high-aspect ratio wing and large ailerons give it excellent low-speed, low-altitude maneuverability. Those General Electric TF-34-GE-100 engines produce 9000 pounds of thrust each. The A-10's cockpit and portions of its flight control system are protected by 1,200 pounds of titanium aircraft armor, called the "bathtub." The bathtub can withstand direct hits from armor-piercing projectiles up 23 mm. he Gatling gun hoses shells at a rate of 3900 rounds per minute. It represents about 16 percent of the aircraft's weight. The A-10 has seen in action in every major U.S. conflict since and approximately 350 remain in service.
By the early 2000s, no one could argue about the A-10's effectiveness. And in the decades since the first production A-10A was delivered to Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in October 1975, the simple aircraft has gotten smarter.
How little things change. Forty years later, some Air Force leaders still see the A-10 as too rudimentary for the battlefield of the future, preferring in this case the supposedly do-it-all F-35.
We all love it. But why??....

Hey guys! I'm playing some more DCS World and this time I am using the F-15C Eagle fighter jet to soar through the skies in my third attempt to try take off, fly and land again! Lets just say I need practice lol!!
I'm still really loving the Digital Combat Simulator World Series and I am looking forward to actually getting into combat! I just need a really good teacher and a lot of time haha.
***SORRY FOR NOT BEING ABLE TO SETUP A FLIGHT THE SATURDAY JUST GONE***
The McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle is an American twin-engine, all-weather tactical fighter aircraft designed by McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing) to gain and maintain air supremacy in aerial combat. Following reviews of proposals, the United States Air Force selected McDonnell Douglas' design in 1967 to meet the service's need for a dedicated air superiority fighter. The Eagle first flew in July 1972, and entered service in 1976. It is among the most successful modern fighters, with over 100 victories and no losses in aerial combat, with the majority of the kills scored by the Israel Air Force.
Digital Combat Simulator World (DCS World) is a free-to-play digital battlefield game, focusing on simulation of military aircraft. It includes the FREE Su-25T and TF-51D aircraft and it is extensible through additional DCS modules as well as user-made add-ons and mods.
I hope you enjoy! Stay tuned for more!

Playing some more Steel Beasts Pro PE 3.0. The last video in a three part series of videos to see which of the three NATO main battle tanks are able to progress through a returning fire target range.
The British Challenger did well but stopped short of the end objective by enemy fire.
The US M1A1 did the best making it further than all of them. But it was also sadly destroyed by enemy fire prior to the end objective.
Lets see how the Leopard 2A5 does.....
Hope you enjoy!
