In this interview, Dr Marcus Papadopoulos commented on the Ukrainian counter-offensive in the Kharkov region. He said that unlike for in the Kherson region, where the Ukrainians had simply and recklessly hurled men and armour against the Russian positions, in the Kharkov region, the Ukrainian Army has carried out a true counter-offensive. However, Dr Marcus opined that the aforesaid counter-offensive will not alter the outcome of the war. He commented that setbacks are an inevitability in war and that what matters is how the army which has incurred the setback responds. Further, Dr Marcus noted that the Russian Army had carried out a tactical retreat in parts of the Kharkov region, incurring negligible losses. Finally, Dr Marcus commented on the traditional mindset of Russians in war, in that the average Russian would consent to, say, one million Russian losses if this means that the Russian Army is victorious in Ukraine.
