There is definitely a cosmic portal linking this December Full Moon to the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Cancer in January 2020. We have the omega and the alpha right within reach so that we can time travel and undo all the 2020 chaos! As I wrote back in January, “The new year is off to a transformative start as this Lunar Eclipse echoes in the energy from December’s Solar Eclipse (in 2019).” We know that the China Virus broke out around the same time at the end of 2019, so we really have a big opportunity to bring healing as Cancer is the healer of the Zodiac. This makes the December Full Moon in Cancer a welcomed lunation for anyone who wants to heal themselves and the world! Specifically, this Full Moon is the time when we can also break the chains of codependency and addiction. Codependency merits its own class, which I will go over in my Full Moon Online Workshop, but briefly stated, it is the root cause for much of the chaos we are experiencing now. Codependency is defined as “excessive emotional or psychological reliance on a partner, typically one who requires support on account of an illness or addiction.” And who isn’t addicted to something or ill of something these days?! Meaning, codependency, and addiction run rampant in more areas than we realize! We can be addicted to our phones, our feed, or what people think of us, or even sex and weed. Breaking the chains of addiction, and codependency is extremely difficult, and it’s even a bit threatening because we sense that once we do break free, everything will change in our lives. The truth is that when we are codependent, our number one priority is our ego which wants to be loved, seen, adored, even hated, or attacked (fill in the blank yourself), as long as it’s getting the energy it needs to govern your life. Codependency is tricky because it can disguise itself as love when really it is just an unhealthy attachment or even outright hatred. Given that the China Virus impacted the world exactly at the same time as the Chinese New Year of the Rat (which is sneaky and quick) and that the next Chinese New Year is the Metal Ox, we need to get a head start on breaking the chains of codependence. The Metal Ox can bring up themes of idol worship (think golden calf) in lieu of true spiritual connection. The Universe has magically scheduled this Full Moon to give us that head start. Whether we use it or not is another story. Now is the time to break off from the chains of codependency and establish healthy attachments that are free of pain, permission seeking, fear, dishonesty, tongue biting, manipulation, bad habits, low self-esteem, addictions, bipolar tendencies, laziness, entitlement, self-pity, overeating and even weight loss (this Full Moon is great for those new year’s resolutions I’d say!)
