What exactly are Christians supposed to call our God and Savior? A look at two extremes and why both are wrong. (This is a compilation of updated material followed by clips from two past videos of mine.)
Salvation is an offer of adoption that you accept by trusting the Jesus who rose from the dead. It's a gift, so you can't earn it or work to keep it; you can only live in humble gratitude for it. Jesus is the only way to be reconciled and adopted by God as our Father. This is the Good News! Jesus Christ died for our sins according to Bible prophecy (the word of God), then he was buried, and then he was raised on the third day according to prophecy. When we accept this Good News, we’re sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, guaranteed eternal life and cleared of all charges. Then we live to please our Savior. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5uzEHVWMRE

The first to speak always seems convincing, until they are cross-examined. ~Proverbs 18:17
In my video, How Revelation impacts the Gospel, questions raised by a study of the letters to the 7 churches were examined. But the question of the identity and timing of those 7 churches deserves another look, since many may find convincing material that really doesn't stand up to scrutiny. I have not changed my interpretation, but feel that the claim of their being yet-future Jewish congregations needs to be challenged in more detail.

Ezekiel was both a prophet and a priest, and though his book is part of the Major Prophets, no other part of scripture refers to him by name. He is most known for his vision of God, but there is a lot of other important material as well, including end-times events and the Millennial Kingdom. Unlike other prophetic books, this one seems to be largely chronological and includes frequent date markers, a chart of which appears in the commentary under "Structure". God refers to Ezekiel as "son of man" (human), and Ezekiel refers to God as "Adonai YHWH" (Lord of Lords).

We are Christ’s ambassadors, so God makes his appeal through us: Be reconciled to God. This is the Good News! Christ died for our sins according to prophecy, then he was buried, and then he was raised on the third day according to prophecy. When we heard the word of this saving Good News, we believed and were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit. At that moment we were guaranteed eternal life.
Because of that, we live in humble gratitude, since this isn't a license to sin. At salvation we were cleaned up, set apart, and cleared of all charges, not by performing good deeds or obeying the law of Moses, but by faith alone. We were saved only by the grace of God. It wouldn't be a gift if you had to earn it or had to work to keep it. Instead, you live to please God out of love.
