So I couldn't take it anymore and decided to hell with the headstock, it's time to get the bass painted and assembled. Here's the non-completed bass and a discussion about some of the pitfalls of these kits and how I spray paint them for a good result. Also, a track at the end with some wobbly bass playing (forgive me, it's been a while) to demonstrate the various tones etc.

So a little while ago I tried to get the authentic 'Money for Nothing' tone which involves using a mic out of phase. Turns out this is impossible to replicate using Amplitube 5 because all of the phase switch buttons simply do not work.. It worked fine in Amplitube 4 and it works well in other plugins. There seem to be a number of problems and missing features that are bothering the loyal userbase with this release,,,, it would be a shame if these basic features couldn't be quickly restored in a future update. This has already been reported a few times in the Amplitube forums,,, maybe a video will get their attention.

So after some deliberation I thought it would be quite cool to do a 'Keef' and stick a humbucker in the neck position of my Fender FSR Player Telecaster (Roasted Maple Neck, 51 Nocaster Pickups).
Guenter Bortz, a regular and long term live stream watcher, kindly sent in a Tonerider Rebel 90 Humbucker sized P90 for me to use, and advised this would be a good choice.... Well he was spot on !.
This vid shows the process of swapping the pickup in some detail, as well as some tone comparisons and a rip roaring solo at the end.
Enjoy !

The QLC+ Lighting Control Software can be found here :

In this introductory video I show how the cheap Amazon LED Parcan can be controlled by DMX using a simple USB adapted and free software. This beginning part is only the tip of the iceberg. The coming series will show how to make your own custom lighting console in software to control a whole suite of lights and effects as well as how to synchronise lighting effects perfectly to pre-recorded video projections and much much more.
The Lamb Learns is a series of tutorial and learning videos that will run alongside the Lamb Livestream show. The 'learns' series will help fellow streamers and interested lambfans learn how to create their own systems and effects akin to what I have done on stream.
Although I hold a great deal of professional knowledge and experience, I am not a 'professional' or an 'expert' in this area. This isn't the perfect guide and there will probably be bodges and corners cut in the name of budget and ease of application. All the pedants, cork sniffers and those that like to boost their ego's by pointing out what they perceive to be 'mistakes' are welcome to try elsewhere.

I was using very cheap (£20-ish) Amazon RGB parcans to provide a colourful wash to the back wall of the studio. However, with their fairly low output and tight beam angle, it took almost 8 of them to produce a consistent colourful wash across my back wall....
Cue the Ayra Armageddon 648 Flood fill and strobe lamp. An all LED and DMX controlled fixture with 648 high power RGB led's capable of outputting 100w+ of light across a huge 130 degree beam angle. For £125, I would never again need to worry about the positioning of loads of little parcans, and instead with one powerful blast, I can cover my rear in colourful illumination... .. and yes, I realise that sounds pretty kinky !.
