On the night, hostilities halted due to weather, but mutual shelling continued. ▪️In the afternoon of October 3, after reinforcements and reserves arrived, the AFU continued to advance on Dudchany with three combined battalions. Having lost more than a dozen armoured vehicles, the AFU retreated. ▪️By the evening of October 3, the fighting resumed. The Russian Armed Forces were forced to retreat to the southern bank of the village of Dudchany, having blown up the bridge over the Dudchany Reservoir. The northern part of the village is controlled by the enemy. ?The AFU are unlikely to abandon their plans to force the natural watershed: in case of a successful offensive, the Ukrainian units may wedge themselves even deeper into the defensive lines of the Russian forces. However, it is more likely that the AFU will attempt to reach the flank of the Russian Armed Forces in the Kryvyi Rih area.
