Hi folks, my name is teacher Lin Li Yi and I’d like to bust a myth for you, so here we go. “Does your skin release oil because it’s too dry?”

答案：臉出油不是因為皮膚太乾，是因為毛孔裡的【皮脂腺受到熱刺激】
皮脂腺這東西，除了手掌、腳掌沒有之外。
Answer: The skin on your face doesn’t release oil because it’s too dry, it’s because the oil glands inside your pores have become hot (you have these pores on every part of your body other than your palms and the soles of your feet).
全身體表都有皮脂腺，大部份的皮脂腺都存在毛孔裡。
但是有些皮脂腺是存在體表外，例如：乳頭（乳暈）、嘴唇、女性陰部、男性龜頭。
Your entire body has these oil glands, most of which are located in your pores.
皮膚出油是為了要保持水份避免過度乾燥，造成皮膚傷害。
Your skin will secrete oil in order to keep moisture in and avoid cracking
人是有體溫的動物，核心溫度平均在３６度，
體表溫度平均在３４－３２度之間。
Humans are warm blooded and have an average inner temperature of around 36 degrees and an outer temperature usually between 34 - 32 degrees.
溫度會讓水份蒸發掉，皮膚一旦沒有了水份，
容易造成乾燥、脫皮、嚴重時會裂開流血。
Heat will cause moisture to evaporate and when skin loses moisture it becomes dry, which can lead to flaking and in extreme cases, cracking and bleeding.
「皮脂腺本身是受熱的感官」
它只有在遇熱時，才會分泌出油脂。
Oil glands are heat sensitive and will only secrete oil when they become hot.
所謂的熱，指的是，氣溫 室溫 體溫
當這三種溫度上升時，皮膚機制就會刺激皮脂出油。
出油的目的是為了保護皮膚。
There are three kinds of heat, air temperature, room temperature and body temperature. If all three of these temperatures rise then the skin system will stimulate the glands to release oil. The whole objective of this is to protect the skin.

什麼季節，皮膚最容易乾燥？
Which time of year is your skin most likely to dry out?
對，是秋冬，在秋冬時節，皮膚最容易出現乾癢問題。
That’s right, it’s winter! Winter is the time when your skin is most vulnerable to becoming dry and itchy.
