More Holes in The Narrative! A Livestream with Al Fadi
Al Fadi, from CIRA International, invited Jay to his 'live-stream' to speak about the new material he has been uploading with Mel from 'Sneaker's Corner', and Paul from London, and Joe from Europe.
This is the newly discovered 'Jerusalem Thesis' suggesting that many of the practices, beliefs and even theologies which Islam follows today are all borrowed from the Jews living in Jerusalem, and transporting them down to the central part of Arabia (the Hijaz) 1,000 miles too far south.
They also went into some new material which Jay and Al Fadi just recorded concerning the historical problems with Mecca, all of which will be uploaded on our two channels in the coming weeks.
They then concluded with an analysis of the difficulty for Muslims with refuting these new historical findings, not only because in order to do so they would have to find equally compelling artifacts from the 7th century, but explain why there simply is no historical references to any civilization, or peoples, or events that far south and that early.
The historical critique is proving to be the 'Achilles Heel' of Islam, and the holes we are finding in this area are beginning to exponentially expand almost daily!
Nonetheless, if we fail to speak out about them, the rocks will cry out for us!

On Sunday, the 9th of June, 2024, Jay returned to London with some of his Christian friends, all of whom work or engage in ministries with Muslims in a number of different countries; yet, few of whom have ever been up on a ladder, but were willing to try it out, most for their first time.
In this 2nd video Jay asked Parvaneh, an Iranian former Shiite Muslim, to speak about what has happened to her and her family, in particular her 3 brothers, two of whom have been tortured and executed by the current Islamic regime in Iran.
This is the first time that Parvaneh has ever been on a ladder to speak so publicly about the torture and killing of her family members back in Iran.
She knew that by doing this so publicly she was putting herself in danger, as the Iranian government has a "long arm", and could do her harm, even in Britain.
Yet, she felt that it was important for her to talk so openly about what has happened to her because of her faith in Jesus Christ, which she obtained because of Speaker's Corner, as it was there that she first met a Christian who eventually led her to the Lord.
She often used to frequent Speaker's Corner in her younger years, and used to taunt the Christians she met there, because she hated what they stood for and detested what they were saying.
But that was many years ago. Subsequently, she found the love and compassion of Jesus because of a Christian Iranian woman she met at Speaker's Corner, who despite the hate she was receiving from Parvaneh, returned it with love.
It affected her so much that Parvaneh decided to investigate what was behind this woman's love, and found that it was the love and compassion of Jesus Christ.
Since giving her life to Jesus, Parvaneh has not looked back, and is often in churches and Christian gatherings telling others about what the Lord did to her, despite the trauma and loss that has happened to her and her family.

If the Qur'an came from Merv, Todd Beamer asks, then where are the Aramaic Lectionaries from which it was derived in that city? Certainly, if this city was that important to the final rendition of the Qur'an, there should be something there for us to look at?
So, how does Thomas respond to this question?
Since, he believes, the Qur'an was indeed possibly compiled in Merv (Turkmenistan) from earlier Christian Aramaic Lectionaries, then we would not expect to find much of anything, especially Aramaic Lectionaries, since the city was completely destroyed in 1221 AD by the Mongols, and almost everyone was killed. Thus, there are only ruined buildings which remain of what had been one of the largest cities of its day, boasting almost 1 million inhabitants.
What's more, Thomas continues, Christians would not have preserved any early Sectarian Lectionaries from that time because the Qur'an itself was deemed a heretical piece of literature, and thus, not worthy of preservation.
What Lectionaries we do have are mostly created by Nestorians, Jacobites and Malechites from that area, and from that time.

We introduce the 8th of our ten MAPI courses for our 'Master's Degree in Apologetics and Polemics to Islam' program (MAPI).
This course is entitled IS508[23] "Responding to Islamic Christology", taught by Dr Paul Blackham, every Monday afternoon from August 28 - October 16, 2023.
This course responds specifically to the challenges by Muslims today against both the historic divinity of Christ and the doctrine of the Trinity, engaging with both the Bible and the Qur’an to support not only the doctrines of Christ’s divinity and the Trinity in the Bible but to simultaneously confront the doctrine of Tawhid in the Qur’an.
Beginning on Monday the 23rd of October (starting at 3:00 p.m. - Eastern Time) Dr Blackham will be lecturing for 8 weeks, with each lecture followed by a 'live' discussion and Q&A between the students and himself (as well as Dr Jay smith and Dr Daniel Janosik) on the material introduced in each lecture.

Dr Blackham will be lecturing 'live', via Zoom Webinar, every Monday afternoon from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Eastern Time - USA) until December 11.
Since all of our teaching is by Zoom Webinar, you can watch the lectures from the comfort of your own home, anywhere in the world, or at any time, as they will be recorded and the URL will be sent to you by Dr Smith the next day by email.
But you need to be a Christian to take this course, due to the fact that it is being taught at the 'Veritas International University' (VIU) which is a Christian seminary headquartered in New Mexico, and, therefore, only Christian students can participate.
Every lecture will be recorded, and the URL along with the PowerPoints and PDFs will be sent to every registered student, so that those who are asleep in another part of the world and cannot thus be at the 'live lectures', can still watch them wherever they are, and at any time they choose.
As we have in the past, we are offering this course for 3 categories of students:
1) Full-TIme Master's or Doctoral Degree Students:
The first category are those students who want to take this course for a Master's or a Doctorate academic credit. This is a 3-credit course, so the fee for each credit is $330, which makes the cost for the whole course around $1,000 (depending on whether you are a returning or a new student). For these full-time students, the full course itself continues for 15 weeks, stretching from October 23, 2023 - January 29, 2024 (though there are only 8 weeks of lecture). This will give you ample time to read and then write logs on the books required for the course, participate in the discussions, write your Research papers, and write your final 'open book' exam.
2) Audit Students:
The second category are those students who want to simply audit the course. The fee for this 8-week course is $325. An Audit student will not have any assignments, but will have access to the Populi site where the discussions and assignments are found (like the Full-time academic students), and will be able to listen to the lectures and will be sent the PowerPoints and PDFs to download.
3) Personal Enrichment Students:
The third category are those students who simply want to take this course for their 'Personal Enrichment'. Their fee for the 8-week course is $225. Unlike the Full-time students or the Audit students, they will not have access to the Populi site, but will still have "live access" to all of the lectures and will be sent the PowerPoints and PDFs to download.
To underline the distinctions, while all of the students in all 3 categories will have access to all of the lectures and to all of the PowerPoints and PDFs for the entire course, the full-time Academic as well as the Audit students will also have admission to the Populi site to participate in the ongoing weekly discussions, and will have access to the reading lists and assignments, though the full-time students will only be required to fulfill them.

Arabic is quite different than English, so not many people understand what Shabir Ally is saying when he refers to the different 'readings' of the old Arabic Qur'ans, due to the diacritical variants in the archaic Arabic Qur'ans. So, when he says that there isn't anything to worry about concerning these many variant readings (we have now found 93,000 by now), because, he says, they don't change much, and certainly don't change the meanings of the verse when it comes to belief and practice...most of us hearing that accept that he knows what he is talking about, and therefore, there's not any story here.
To prove Shabir wrong, Jay, in this video, takes a 10 minute segment which he recorded in September of 2019 from a talk he did at Kensington Temple (KT) in London, where he explained just how these diacritical marks (i.e. dots and vowels) not only change the words and the text, but they change the meaning of the text, and at times even change the theology of the verses.
Shabir should be worried by these tens of thousands of different readings, and shouldn't so easily slough it off by simply saying there are no doctrines or beliefs which are changed in these thousands of variants.
The fact that even one word in changed, or that whole sentences take on different meanings proves that the Qur'an is indeed a man-made book, and is not something which resides eternally in heaven, nor was unfettered by human hands.
These thousands of variants prove that this book is no different than any other book written by men, altered, accreted, deleted and corrupted over the 1400 years it has existed.

For these series of videos which follow the debate between King and Gibson, most of what we (Al Fadi and Dr Jay Smith) introduce are taken from Gibson’s own video responses to King, with our own added commentaries and discussions.
You will notice the differences in tone between the two protagonists. While King used vitriol, denouncing and ridiculing Gibson; as a contrast, Gibson was always polite and humble, and never scorned King. That in and of itself is telling.
Ironically, the work Gibson does is commonly called ‘peer review’, where one scholar assesses the work of another, finds errors, and then provides a better solution. Every scholar must be peer reviewed; yet, King’s response to Gibson is not only shocking, it’s embarrassing. Instead of replying to the ideas Dan forwards, he just attacks his character and credentials.
Maybe it's because he was soon to retire, with everything he had written and taught confronted by this ‘upstart’, Gibson, a man with no degrees, little notoriety, and unknown to everyone; yet, able to disprove everything King had written and had taught for years. One can understand his frustration.
His introduction in his riposte of Dan highlights his anger, calling him “a Canadian amateur…who contradicts everything we know about early Islam…[and] in fact he [Gibson] just doesn’t get it…appears to be singularly ill-informed…clueless…and just doesn’t know”. Yet, Gibson has over 10,000 books on the subject, all of which he has read.
The conflict between the two begins with the presuppositions they start with regarding how Islam began, which informs us concerning why they came to such different conclusions.
Dr King believes that in order to understand Early Islam (i.e. from 550 AD – 799 AD), you must use the scholars who were closest to those events, the later Medieval Muslim scholars (i.e. 800 AD – 1300 AD). Because they are closer, they should know what happened in the preceding centuries, better than we do today, This is a decent pre-supposition to begin with…namely; always go to the time period closest to that which you are studying.
According to the Qur’an (Surah 2:149-150) the Qibla was redirected to the ‘Masjid al Haram’ (notice it doesn’t say Mecca) when the Jews in Medina rejected Muhammad, so around 624 AD, if the Islamic Traditions are correct. Thus, every mosque built after 624 AD must face the ‘Masjid al Haram’, which Muslims believe is Mecca.
King agrees that this has to be Mecca as well, which suggests that he hasn’t read Patricia Crone’s research proving that Mecca wasn’t even known until 741 AD.
Yet, according to the Qur’an and the later traditions, Mecca is where Adam and Eve were sent down to when thrown out of the Garden of Eden (see Surah 7

Muslims often ask how someone can take on the price of another, or the guilt of another, as this would be unjust...and on face value this does look unjust.
There are two references in the Qur'an which confront the seeming injustice of someone taking on the guilt of another; Surahs 6:164 and 53:38. These two verses attack the notion that God can take on our sin on the cross, or that we are imputed with Adam and Eve's sin.
Yet, what will Muslims do with Surah 7:24 which says that Adam and Eve were thrown out of the Garden of Eden, which is situated in space, and thrown down to earth. The fact that none of us are up in that garden now, proves that we are all imputed with Adam and Eve's sin.
Why is it that no one has the same choice that Adam and Eve had, and are not tested the same way as them, but are all automatically born already on earth?
It's obvious that the writers of the Qur'an borrowed this story from the Bible, but had no idea of the meaning of the story, something you should never do, because the Biblical stories are impregnated with theology, proving that original sin is both in the Bible and the Qur’an. So, why are the Muslims even asking this question…unless they also ask the same question of the Qur’an?
Furthermore, what about Surah 4:157, where there is a crucifixion; yet, the man on the cross is not Issa? So, someone else was on the cross dying for him, and thus, paying the price for Issa, which is not only unjust, but also contradicts Surahs 6:164 and 53:38!
In conclusion, can someone else pay for my sin? Of course not! No man nor woman can pay for my sin. Even I can't pay for my sin...but God can...and God did...and He paid for all your sins, by dying for you on the cross.

In order for Islam to hold any real, substantive historical significance, or truth, there must be historical evidence to support it, especially when we look at the 3 pillars upon which Islam is absolutely dependent, which include its book (the Qur'an), its man (Muhammad), and its place (Mecca).
Because Muslims are completely dependent on all three to be historically true, if you find problems with even one of them, the other two come crashing down, which in turn destroys any historical viability for Islam itself.
With this episode Al Fadi and Dr. Jay continue their focus on Islam's origins by asking if any of these 3 can find any historical evidence in the 7th century for their existence?
As they discuss and examine the historical and geographical evidence from that time period they conclude that nothing substantial or reliable can be found, providing yet another hole in Islam's already Holey narrative.

Lying is Obligatory for all Muslims, according to the ‘Reliance of the Traveller’.
Most of us have heard of ‘Taqiya’ (which is also lying), but the Reliance of the Traveller uses the word ‘Hiyal’ which is a stronger term.
According to Reliance of the Traveller, book R, 8.0 Lying is obligatory on all Muslims.
Book R, 2.2 says that slandering people you dislike is permitted.
Book R, 8.2 (page 744 in the book, or pg. 762 in the PDF) lying is good as it brings about peace whenever there is a disagreement.
There are 3 areas where lying is permitted: 1) in the time of war, 2) in settling a disagreement (such as lying in an argument), and 3) lying to your spouse.
Lying is particularly supported when the Muslim needs to achieve an objective, especially when it benefits Islam.
Taqiyya is used in war as a tactical deceit, and to spread Islam, according to Lloyd.
Book R, 8.3 the word Tawriya is used to describe someone who is using a misleading impression.
Lying is encouraged when it is better to do so in a case where to tell the truth would bring about bad.
In the book ‘Ihya Ulum al Din’, written by Al Ghazzali, mentions that false speaking is at times compulsory. Ghazzali says, “False Speaking (lying), is better than speaking the truth”.
He stipulates 3 times when lying is obligatory:
1) To bring about a compromise between two disputing parties
2) In the context of war
3) Between a wife and a husband.
He goes on to say that lying is also permissible when it benefits a Muslim, or removes some form of harm (such as doubt), or to save his honor.
The word which is used for lying in the Reliance of the Traveller is “Hiyal”, which is defined as a form of “Legalistic Trickery”. It is also known as contortion (i.e. twisting the meaning), or contrivance (i.e. scheming), or expedience (i.e. getting an advantage), or a device (i.e. to trick someone), or subterfuge.
Hiyal, in the context of commerce allows someone to break the law or circumvent it if need be, even to the point of deceiving the customer, so that the Muslim can win a contract.
Adab al-djadal is another word which is used for debating, where the intent is not to define truth, but to say anything in order to convince your opponent, or the audience, and thus win the debate. One can even trick the other in order to win the debate.
Da’wah, which we have been told is ‘evangelism’ or ‘to invite’ is considered in the Reliance of the Traveller as a form of propaganda, to pretend, in order to bring people to Islam.
“Eristic Refutation” is a form of disputation, or even a form of haggling, which is used in Islam as a means to win an argument, and can be an end in itself.
