The crews of the fighter aviation regiment of the Western Military District worked out measures to force a mock intruder to land in the sky of the Leningrad Region. The pilots of the MiG-31 high-altitude interceptor fighters performed takeoffs in conditions of limited visibility, maneuvering elements at an altitude of about 400 meters. After that, at an altitude of about 14,000 meters, the aircraft crews, using the Zaslon-M airborne radar, deployed a radar field to monitor the airspace.
