£45 In Change Worth Over £1,400
This guide is my personal favourite, it tells you just the rare coins to look for across all denominations. I have left out notes and the £5 coin, notes are a different animal and the £5 coin whilst legal tender, is not exactly in circulation and they don't end up in people's tills.
I can guarantee you that the value I give each coin is right and real. I have previously sold the coin for the value I give you and if I've sold it for that price then it is worth that price or more. These are the coins that should you come across them, I would advise you put in a box or a drawer for the years to come, they will only increase in value. Suppose you spent £1,000 on an investment product like insurance or a endowment for example, in 10 years would you get 30 times that back? The answer as we all know is a resounding NO! If you spent £1,000 on the following coins and by that I mean by finding them in your change or pocket not buying them from me or anyone else, then in 10 years you would get 30-50 times your money back or even more. In some cases you would get 50 - 100 times your money. Take the top four Olympics, the Wrestling, Triathlon, Judo and Football. All four are worth £15 in today's market which is 30 times it's face value. In 10 or 20 years that price will double, treble and more, making it worth anything up to 100 times the value. No bank or building society can give you that guarantee. I can give you that guarantee if you follow my guide below. Even the poorest among us have a chance to save up a nest egg, imagine saving £200 and it being worth £5,000 to £20,000 in 10 years time, now that's worth taking notice of. Some coins are proof years however we have found many a proof year in change, they are there!
They are not in any particular order except to try and keep the denominations together to make it easier for you. You can actually buy some of these coins for less than the value I give them, that's not me being wrong, that's the sellers not knowing or understanding how rare or valuable the coin is. The perfect example I always use is the 1985 Britannia 50p which is worth £30, even though you can still buy it for between £5 and £15. When I can I buy them myself, some I put up for sale and some go in a drawer not to be touched, in 10 - 20 years it will reach £100 or more by my calculations.
The same can be said of a dual date 1992/1993 EEC. It is worth over £200. How do I make that calculation you may ask? If the Kew Gardens circulated is worth £90 (and it most certainly is) with only 250,000 in circulation, then the 1992/1993 dual date with only 100,000 in circulation is automatically worth two and a half times more, which puts its value at £235, even though you can buy it for around £100 or less!. That's one coin that is worth buying and storing, buying and storing. The only reason you can buy it so cheap is because the sellers have not done the maths and literally don't know the true value. They go by the price someone else has listed it for and the problem with follow the leader is that sometimes you can follow them into a puddle, meaning the one in front is not always right. Do the maths yourself and use a bit of logic and you'll suddenly see the opportunity staring you in the face for making money and building up a nest egg for your retirement or your children or grandchildren. The numbers, as they say, never lie.
