The basic definition of gaslighting is to "manipulate (someone) by psychological means into questioning their own sanity" - and it goes DEEP! Narcissists have this thing where they make you feel crazy because they act like your reactions to their abuse is not rational. While the signs you're being gaslighted may seem "obvious" to some people, the fact is that when you're being manipulated by a narcissist, you can't always see the proverbial forest for the trees. How to manage the inevitable lifelong effects of trauma bonding with a narcissist. Trauma bonding is a type of codependency that develops between two people who have experienced trauma together.
