Solidworks Quick Tips - Merging Line Segments - Collinear
Hey folks!
If you have ever wanted to merge line segments in a sketch that are collinear, this is how you do it. Also works with coradial and should work on splines that are both tangent and curvature continuous.... Hope this helps someone! ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqxosGElS_E
This is the second of 2 videos on installing a light run in my shop off of the existing wiring. The power is going thru the lights to the switch which requires an extra "traveler" wire for the 2nd set of lights so that they are not wired in series. I make the mistake of wiring them in series at first and fumble around a bit as I am NOT an electrician nor is this wiring anything resembling a code installation.

(03-25-22 Edit: Didn't know the video was messed up, when I found out, I fixed and re-uploaded this video which is fixed) In this episode, we have changed the "steering arm" over to a forged style. The change involves extrude up to surface, delete face, and a bunch of filleting. This is a follow up to the last video I uploaded the prior Solidworks Saturday. This time instead of showing all of the work, I just narrated through the differences between the prior part and the updated part. There is some reordering of the feature tree and comarison between the "before" part and the "after" part. Hope you enjoy, Skud.

This video is the second in a series on building a fairly simple 2x4 construction fish tank stand. It also uses 4x4s for some of the parts. This video may be best suited for the beginner woodworker who hasn't developed those "good' woodworking habits yet, but you may have new equipment you are looking to use. More on teaching my son and construction of the top. This is Part 2.

This is the 2nd Video in a 3 part training series. I am using Solidworks in a virtual machine, specifically VM Workstation. I know 2012 is outdated, and I do have 2013 and 2014 installed in other VMs but just decided to use this one. This video is a follow up to the Grind Box; This is a simple landing that could be added to the Grind Box.

We had some very cold nights this winter and I was worried about one of our Goats so I decided to install a heater for their loafing shed. I knew forced air wasn't going to work so I looked for an infrared heater. The one I found at the "Big W" or Wallyland had quartz tubes and was perfect. I hooked it up to a photocell controlled outlet and was off to the races, well sort of.
(No animals were harmed in the making of this video, just yelled at)

Update 11-19-2015: I originally paid $189ish for this and checked my coupons. There was one for this saw that made it $139. Harbor Freight allows you to redeem the coupon up to 30 Days after the purchase so I got refunded the difference, yea Harbor Freight :)
