The Silicon Trailer has been a surprising success. When I originally had the idea of meeting viewers with tech problems while traveling I figured one or two people per month would take me up on the offer. Instead every place I go people are willing to travel just for a sit down meeting. This week someone is even driving 4 hours one way, and staying in a hotel just to discuss their issues. With this in mind I've decided to launch "Geek Camp".
Most of the RV Parks my wife and I stay at offer not just RV Spots, but also tent camping and even cabin rentals. Since we will start staying in places 2-4 weeks at a time I'll have more energy to talk with viewers about their tech issues and try to walk them through solving their problems.
The idea is that I'll tell you all which RV Park I'm staying at, and you can arrange your accommodation with the place on your own. In the morning I'll spend an hour or two talking about what you're trying to do, I'll then go off and do whatever I plan to in the day, and at night we can sit down and discuss your progress.
The plan is to start this once we reach the Seattle area...

Serverless Architecture allows you to abstract out Compute from your infrastructure and call compute service from Cloud Functions. This means you get the results of a server like encoding video, or computer vision without needing to maintain an Operating System.
Event Driven Compute – means the compute services are called based on events that trigger them.
Cloud Functions – are the way you call serverless services. They may also be called Azure Functions or Lambda Functions depending on the vendors naming strategy.
Programmatic Administration vs “Old” Administration – Serverless Architectures require knowing programming languages and have little to do with GUI based Systems Administration.
Languages – The languages that are required depend on the specific products from the vendors.
Cost – Payment is based on compute time
