One of the most exciting things about Microsoft Flight Simulator, is how active the sim development is. No more is the sim a static release, or only receiving updates once every few years. Now we receive huge performance improving and game changing updates with frequent regularity. The downside of this is that it means that sometimes things break. Indeed, the most common complaint seen across the interwebs is that somehow Asobo and MS broke everyone's sim... when actually the fault often lies with a 3rd party addon. In this updated tutorial video, I demonstrate just how easy it is to prepare your sim for an update and to get not only get the update done successfully, but also how to help you troubleshoot your 3rd party addons if they do cause you issues. In just a few short steps, you can easily allow your sim to launch without any potentially clashing and crash inducing mods and test to ensure your sim runs fine in its default state. Then you can bring your mods back in wholesale, or piecemeal to ensure compatibility. I also delve into some of the reasons why these best practices are effective, and some of the underlying reasons why things work the way they do. The Junkers Ju 52 is an icon of vintage aviation. It represented a leap forward in technology available to airlines to extend their reach further and in greater comfort for their passengers than ever before.
