In this video, we'll learn how to convert light into sound by building an Arduino Theremin. A photo-Theremin, actually, since we'll be controlling it through light intensity.

The Berkley Open Infrastructure for Network Computing (BOINC) allows citizens to donate their spare computing power to help scientific research. In this element14 Presents project inspired by the 2007 Boston Mooninite Panic, we're going to build a basic electronics hacker project: an LED blinky that not only makes cool designs, but also contributes computing power to BOINC by means of a solar-powered Raspberry Pi!

Clocks are a rite of passage for hardware hackers, and with this video you can start working on your DIY Clock merit badge using the Arduino platform to build a basic Arduino clock. This project builds on the Arduino Fortune Teller project from the "Arduino For Kooks" basic series and teaches programming concepts like timing and actively updating a display, so you can use it as a springboard for many more complicated projects!

Local news coverage (WSB-TV-Atlanta and WXIA-Atlanta, circa 1999) of two Cobb County High Schools (Walton and Harrison) selling out to soft drink companies (Coke and Pepsi, respectively), the reaction, and the lone protester! This was probably one of those things that made me a bit of a legend amongst the halls of HHS....

In my quest to restore the Commodore SX-64, my first obstacle was the lack of video signal on the internal monitor. I needed to diagnose the Commodore SX-64 video signal before I would be able to move on to any other Commodore SX-64 repairs. In this video, I will go through the process to diagnose a Commodore SX-64 blank screen and step through how to repair a Commodore SX-64 blank screen. In this video, I'll go over how to build a DIY Commodore AV cable, how to reseat Commodore chips, and how to replace a Commodore PLA chip.

The folks over at Elegoo thought y'all might enjoy seeing this Arduino-powered robot car kit. The unit I received had a few faults, but on the balance, it's a fun little kit build for the electronics enthusiast! The Elegoo Smart Robot Car Kit 3.0 incorporates a handful of basic Arduino-compatible sensor modules that allow the model to detect and navigate obstacles with an ultrasonic sensor, follow a line on the floor, drive via infrared IR remote control, and even enjoy Bluetooth connectivity with the available app! This is a great kit with which to learn more advanced Arduino programming concepts, and when you're finished with the car, you can re-purpose the parts into all manner of other gadgets!
