I ran 1.5 miles the night before, but in an effort to hold myself accountable for not going hard enough, today I PUNISHED MYSELF With a 60 lbs 1 mile Rucksack Run! Shout out to all of our Military friends that have endured this for training! It was about 97 degrees outside including the heat index, and it made this thing more punishing that I had anticipated. The flak jacket, while not technically very heavy, is very restricitve and made running all that much harder. Unlike I said in the beginning, I do recommend you try this, but warn you: Make sure you can handle this and don't push yourself into stroke territory!
