Amazing Ghillie Suit - 3d Camo System effective camo at 5 meters
http://www.john-tom.com/ presents a 3d camo system - highly effective at close quarters - hiding in plain sight - video taken 5m - 8m away from the subject
Notice there is no hiding behind trees or laying on the ground in a ditch as seen on other ghillie suit videos- this is full on stand up close-quarter camouflage that works at 5m from the camera or the observer - no natural scrim added to the suit - all 100% synthetic camo
Imagine how good the system would be with the normal addition of local natural scrim to a traditional ghillie suit.
Details and more photographs are available at the camo web page at john-tom.com along with plans and build instructions to make your own ghillie suit.
Maybe not the best video but Probably the most effective ghillie suit on youtube.

Frame Kit Plans for the Clyde Puffer are available from www.ReplicaPlans.com and a build log and additional information is available at www.john-tom.com
The Clyde puffer is a type of small coal-fired and single-masted cargo ship, built mainly on the Forth and Clyde canal, and which provided a vital supply link around the west coast and Hebrides of Scotland.
Built between 1856 and 1939, these stumpy little steamboats characteristically had bluff bows, crew's quarters with table and cooking stove in the focsle, and a single mast with derrick in front of the large hold.
The funnel and ship's wheel stood aft above the engine room, followed by a small captain's cabin in the stern. Typically in the period 1856 to approximately 1905 the Clyde Puffer's wheel was still in the open, but later a wheelhouse was added aft of the funnel giving the puffers their distinctive image.
Their flat bottom allowed them to beach and unload at low tide, essential to supply remote settlements without suitable piers. Typical cargoes could include coal and furniture, with farm produce and gravel sometimes being brought back.

A build video of the first prototype for an M93 Cradle Mount Inert Replica.
Plan sets are available at http://replicaplans.com/
The material used is Sintra Expanded PVC which is similar to wood in machinability and easy cutting. It is an ideal low-cost medium to prototype before committing to steel.

Info and Model Long Tail Race Boat Plans are available from
http://www.john-tom.com
Long Tail boat races are held regularly in the Thai provinces, many owners and teams travel to compete in the competitions.
The prize winnings are status and a trophy with prize money that just above covers the cost of the fuel and transport.
Many of the competitors are owners/workers of the small engineering shops scattered around the provinces that maintain, fabricate and repair farming equipment.
Success at the boat races brings more custom to the shop, after all if you can make a 150cc motorcycle engine hammer down a canal at 100mph then you have a reasonable measure of the shops ability with engines and fabrication.
Usually the only parts purchased are the propeller and the engine - the rest is made in house or refurbished from old domestic long tail boats.
