easy wheat grass no soil grow in taco box in window
I posted a video earlier this month on how I grew alfalfa and mung bean sprouts in a plastic box that tacos come in. Today I am posting a video showing how easy it is to grow wheat grass in the same taco boxes. I made some wheat grass juice in my vita mix blender from this wheat grass, I never had wheatgrass before. I will post a video of that later.
I drove to Pompano Pier to do a little fishing Sunday morning. I had not been there in a long time. It seems like I have not been anywhere in a long time. They were closed. Ha!
I walked around for a half an hour and took a few photos and video clips and made them into this short video. It was fun. Hope you enjoy it.

This is a video response to Chef Bucks video Top 10 Kitchen Spices - plus all my other travel spices and seasonings https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5U-_LHl-aLA
in the last couple of years, I have not traveled much at all. However, if I did start traveling again I think taking my own spices with me would be a good idea. I have always enjoyed cooking and eating and in the last couple of years, my enjoyment of cooking and eating has actually increased. It's fun to come across new spices and flavors and foods.
I should mention that many of the ingredients listed in my video are not technically spices. This is just a list of spices and herbs and flavorings and miscellaneous items that I have assembled over the years.
Videos that go over in detail the ingredients a chef likes and explains why are educational and entertaining.
Please check out the people I feature on my channel at the bottom of my channel page and don't forget I have a playlist of recipe videos many of which are not mine but are videos from people who have recipes or channels I think should have more viewers.
I would be very interested in hearing from you what are your favorite spices and flavorings you use to make your favorite foods and why.
Parsley flakes, Himalayan salt, black pepper, vanilla extract,
ground cinnamon,
red pepper flakes, turmeric, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, Ginger powder,
basil, Italian seasoning, celery seed, cream of tartar, nutmeg, ground allspice, AMLA powder,

How to make an LCD screen hood for the kodak zi8 using duct tape and velcro and some card stock.
The duck tape gives the card stock a lot of strength. The velcro allows you to attach and remove the hood easily or fold it down and leave it in place.
when you are done making this screen hood you will have one of the most useful and for me indispensable acessories you can have when filming outdoors in bright sunlight.
This screen hood will work with the other fip style video cameras such as the Mino and Vado.

This was my first attempt at growing broccoli microgreens. I should have let them grow longer. I grew them in soil I heat-treated in the microwave to achieve a temperature of over 200 Fahrenheit.
I soaked the seeds overnight. the seeds I used were expensive, but they germinated very well.

My next batch is growing less vigorously and I think it may be because the temperature has been colder. I also wonder if I made a mistake in recording my amounts as the tablespoon per container does not seem to be as abundant, I may have mixed things up and used 2 tablespoons per container and not 2 total.
I will be getting some cheap black oil sunflower seeds from Walmart and let you know how they turn out. I am also trying some lettuce that looks like I can keep removing the leaves and it will grow back over the season.

Review of the $12 Pop Voice 16 feet lavalier omnidirectional microphone. If you need a good low-budget microphone for your phone or camera this one worked very well for me. The audio was much brighter and louder than that from my Samsung Galaxy A21. However, I don't think the background noise canceling was as good as the more expensive microphones I have used.

This is a recipe for Hard Times Gravy that costs a nickel. I remember an old lady saying years ago that she and her family were able to survive the Great Depression from mainly three food items; pancakes, dumplings, and gravy.
This makes sense as wheat flour is probably the least expensive food item and is perfect for making pancakes and dumplings. I remember as a kid when we were very poor we knew when there was no money as our mom would make pancakes with homemade syrup for supper.
Dumplings are great for adding to soups and stews and are very filling and if there is any meat any fat or drippings leftover are best used up as a gravy or sauce so nothing goes to waste.
This gravy will not taste as rich and flavorful as gravy made from roasted meat or fowl. This is gravy for when you have no meat or fowl and for when you have very little money. if you are stony broke and just have potatoes or rice or vegetables this sauce or gravy will be welcome addition to make the plain food during hard times taste better.
I made my gravy in a very simple way using Orrington farms powdered beef broth.
You can make the gravy as thin or thick as you like by adding or subtracting your oil and flour roux.
There is a lot of sodium in Orrington Farms powdered broth but no MSG and very few if any Frankenstein ingredients often found in other powdered gravy mixes.
I normally add a lot of spices to my gravy and items that darken it.

This is another in my series of reviews of food from the frozen food section of the Dollar Tree dollar store. The riblets turned out pretty decent. I used some EVERYDAY Brand dollar store barbecue sauce and cooked the ribs for 3 hours. During the last hour, I added some sweet potatoes. This was a very simple and low cost and a surprisingly tasty meal. In the future, I recommend cooking the ribs for less time as they were less juicy than they should have been.
The next few dollar store items on the schedule are the Camillos Pizza crusts, the little White Castle burgers, some vegetarian meatballs, the ribeye steak and a 50 cent Walmart pizza crust and the 25 cent walmart ice cream sandwiches.
Please check out my playlists, I have started a playlist just for my review videos. I think they are going to be fun and I plan on doing a lot more review videos. Please let me know if there is some item, even if it is not food related you would like me to review.

Over 1200 people move to Florida every day. I love Florida. My family has been here since 1919. However, I do wish I could go back in time and live in Florida years ago when it was like when my parents lived here and there were a lot fewer people. So many people living here have no idea what Florida used to look like. South Florida now looks like one giant shopping mall that stretches for four counties. I hate to think the rest of the state is ending up in the same condition.
