Jazz Today - May 20, 1958 Broadcast.
I found this reel to ree tape on ebay.
Radio program from KOMO radio in Seattle. Based on the writing, looks like it was broadcast in 1958. Program # 59.
The name of the dj is Bill Cobin based on what I heard from the tape, please correct me, if it's wrong.
Many of these programs were sponsored by Rainier Beer.
This is tape is really interesting one, as it showcases some not so traditional directions into a jazz music of that time.
List of songs:
1. Love & Humor
2. Up Broadway - Moonday
3. Satori - Fred Kutz
4. The Lded Piper - Jim Giuffre
5. Sidartha - Fred Katz
6. Playful Flute - Yensef
7. Time After Time - Fred Katz
The tape is probably recorded on a mono recorder using the entire width of the tape. Tascam 42 can play it without issue, just splits the signal into two channels.
I would appreciate if someone may comment with more info about this tape and the broadcast show.
